I donāt have ādice fatigueā and my constant bickering about 42 online dice DO HAVE A VALID COMPONENT to the types of results of which i have never seen in any other game that requires dice. There is a ātit for tatā response in the kinds of results in battles. I just live with it if i want to continue to enjoy 1942. I think 42.2 is the best AA game around unless you want a long game ( 1940).

I understand but itās still anecdotal unless you start recording hundreds of thousands of dice rolls in ll of your games; not just the bad ones.

āTit for Tatā isnāt bad dice rolls, its a tendency that the defender will hit if you hit and miss if you miss. I am close to 200 games for 42 online and it never wavered in my observation of these results. I do get bad dice at times, but the average results i observe is this tendency.

I play Axis almost exclusively, just a preference. I donāt know about scripted, but any game I have started in last couple weeks see a completely successful Russia turn 1. Both attacks are favored to succeed but what I find incredible is that not only do they succeed but German forces inflict almost nothing for defensive hits. Meanwhile I cant do an amphibious assault on Trans Jordan without taking a casualty if I take it at all on the ensuing amphibious assault. The miss rate on on units that require a 4 or less (Fighters, Tanks, Cruisers, Bombers, and battleships) is troubling, while infantry and artillery in defense incur casualties at an alarming rate. When was the last time you say Infantry and artillery paired on offense every equal the hit rate of say the same number of defending infantry. Both require a 2 but infantry and artillery on offense never exceeds expectations an almost always falls well below average. As Axis the only Strategic bombing is really done by Japan, the hit rate on AA defense is well beyond what would normally be expected, for every 4 bombing runs I am averaging 3 bombers shot down (multiple games). The miss rate on Shore bombardment is worse, and I cant remember when I have hit a territory with AA guns that they didnt hit at least once. If you add screenshots, you are accused of cherry picking. I cannot remember an attack I have made where my units exceeded expectations, if anything it will always be less than what calculator predicted. Like Djensen I just mass forfeited 4 different games. I just dont see a point in playing this game in its current state.

@Brian-Cannon I just made an attack on Transjordan, 4 infantry, 1 tank, 2 fighters, 1 artillery and a battleship vs. 2 infantry, 1 tank, 1 arty and 3 fighters. Offensive rolls everything missed, defensive rolls everything hit. Game over. Also, I have noted the terrible hit rate of tanks or anything requiring a 3 on offense, anyone else noticed the tremendous hit rate of tanks on defense?

I donāt notice that, but will keep track of that in my games. I do know that even with overwhelming odds, the defender will exact its nearly total IPC value in attackers losses.

Well in the first battle he hit 2 more times than odds.
In the second battle round 1, nobody hit and they werenāt supposed to hit based on odds.
Round 3 same thing
Round 4 he hit you whiffed, which is possible, but not really a huge dice defeat
Round 5 he hit again and you whiffed.The only thing you had going for you was one fighter and it missed 5 timesā¦ which isnāt really crazy dice results.
In Russia i see no crazy dice either. these are typical attacks for round one and the results and Russian loses are normalā¦again not crazy.

Iāve had a lot of bombers shot down but even more got through. This still feels like games in real life

Iāve had a few battles that went very well in my favor.
Iām not sure itās actually a PRNG problem. I think itās a game balance and game mechanic problem being revealed because we play so many more games at the same time with AAO. I may be an A&A fan but 1942 SE definitely has flaws.

Back to Uncle Archery. Attack on Egypt. 4 inf 2 arty 1 tank and one bomber vs 3 inf 1 arty, 1 tank and 1 fighter. First round of rolls on offense absolutely nothing in my offense hit, nothing. 4 hits on defense=Rage quit. There are certain games where just nothing goes your way and Uncles Archery was one of them. Yet there are players out there with undefeated records, does anyone find that curious?

Well, this is the dice rant forum so dream up your conspiracy here but leave it here.
Personally, Iāve played a bunch of games that were just fine. A few great and a few not so great. To me it seems to resemble real life but just 10x more games. The. dice just hate me so ā¦ no change. I rage quit the same way I might a game with friends when the rolls are terrible. āScrew these dice letās play Tapestry!ā
Thinking about starting to play again during the next āseason.ā

Keep in mind if this was true, then 1) the game would have to be deliberately coded to cheat, and 2) if the game was coded to cheat in this way, it would have to affect everybody.

@Imperious-Leader So you honestly think the developers coded the game to cheat, eh? And keep in mind if others are simply ājust not noticingā, then it canāt be as bad as claimed. Unless you want to add yet another level of cheating and claim that the game was coded to not only cheat, but cheat infrequently enough to try and fly under the radar.

And just to be clear, the statement that the game forces players to take casualties is a totally separate issue from players complaining about bad rolling in general.
