Easier said than done though.

Right off the bat Germany will be consistently making more money than both Britain and the Soviet Union having taken out the rest of Europe and thats before they start attacking the Soviet Union.

Keeping the income advantage really only rests on America since the only change in their income will be losing the Philippines islands, as for everybody else, they can expect their IPC count to plummet with the combined strength of the Germans and Italians.

Also, like I said, taking Rome and Berlin is on the table to accomplish, taking Tokyo however not so much since A) it’s on an island B) It’s gonna have lot’s of dudes on it and C) the Pacific is too big to build any assortment of floating bridge and would be too expensive, hence why we would end the game if Japan is limited to their home island plus maybe Korea since they’re pretty much dead in the water so there is no point in playing any further.

You have your choice of a PhD or a headache.  Take the headache.

The only thing I don’t like about Japan building factories on the mainland is if the game is going good for Japan, and once they eliminate China and India and any Russian threat, those factories become almost useless because Japan now has to branch out to sea.
Yeah, you can still use them, like to build transports to load up the existing land troops, but most of the naval production seems to happen at Japan itself. Plus, unless your navy is spread out, then you will have defenseless transports all along the coast. Then again, I guess if it is going that well for Japan then they can afford to “throw away” a few transports in order to get men on the islands or on Australia.

How did long range aircraft “save you”?, I might understand if you got heavy bombers, but you must not have been that bad off if you liked the 1 extra movement point on planes.

My window to take Moscow was originally planned to be G8-J9. My Atlantic Wall was a complete failure in this game, though, so the Luftwaffe was decimated and whatever was rebuilt was needed to hold WGer, as western Europe was getting swamped by Allied ground troops. The Soviets were earning well, so every turn was decreasing my odds.

I had to rely on a no-air 0% G7 suicide against Moscow with a J7 follow. The G7 went better than expected in number of units killed but I couldn’t hold the landing spots (and he eliminated all Japanese ground units within striking distance of Moscow) for the Japanese planes on R7. J7 I spent my only 20 IPC (Japan was getting convoy-raided into the stone age) on rolls hoping for long-range aircraft (11% chance of hitting).

Then I eliminated all the defenders in Moscow with my Japanese air while I swept out the one territory I could with my Japanese ground forces, forming a cute little spot for my one remaining German tank left on the board to take a now undefended Moscow.

Without sucking out on that 11% chance, it was time to concede.  As it is, it’s still a battle to hold the 8th VC for a turn. But the Axis have a chance now, and they didn’t before.

I don’t mean to complicate things, but if you play with techs and get the “Advanced Artillery” tech, each artillery can boost 2 infantry, 2 mech infantry or one of each up to an attack value of 2.

So I’m playing A&A global for the 2nd time and I am noticing a lot of inconsistencies with the rules between both books and even what is written on the board’s mobilization chart. Is there an updated/ revised rulebook I can download?

Use the Europe Rulebook.  The only rules from the Pacific Rulebook that apply to the Global game are the rules on China and kamikazes.  I’m not aware of any problems with the mobilization charts on the boards.  What are you referring to?

Also, how much does USA collect before it goes into wartime? Europe book says it makes 35 during war so does that mean it makes 5 IPCs and then gets +30? is it +30 for Europe and +40 for global?

In the Europe game, the US collects 35 IPCs when not at war.  In the Global game, the US collects 52 IPCs when not at war (see page 32 of the Europe Rulebook).  Note that the politics rules and National Objectives in the Global game are completely different from those in the Europe game (see pages 33-35 of the Europe Rulebook).
