Cyanight's Customizations

John I got the Australian roundels and flags from Ebay. The guy who makes them is from England and his name is Mehusla.
Here is the link the item. The flags are on the same decal sheet with the Australian roundels.

thats funny cyanight, I went too panzerichiffe too and bought some carrirers and battleships and the 1 2400 scale was way too big! but they had so many ships tho, I really wanted to buy and paint the French battle ship jean bart….luckily HBG is working on a French set that includes her.
-
The French set will be nice. Cant wait for that one either.
I did order some small cruisers from Panzershiffe this weekend. I will let you know how they compare in size. The reason I ordered cruisers is because I hate the OOB cruisers for UK. They are about as big as the destroyers and too small IMO. Its difficult to see the difference between the cruisers and destroyers for UK. So I ordered a bunch of different small cruisers hoping they will be larger than the OOB cruiser but smaller than the battleships. I will update you guys on my research when they come in.

Cyanight, did you know this company sells Union Jack decals, the company you provided me a link for?
If so, are these small enough to go on the infantry, mechs and tanks?
Thanks,
John

It says online the smallest Union Jack Flag is 2mm.
Would that fit an infantry base?
It should shouldn’t?

––John, I’ve already orderred a few sets of these “Union Jack” flag decals
as I believe they will have some A&A applications. As for Infantry bases, I don’t know. I, myself, still much prefer custom-painted national ensigns on my Infantry bases as for one thing, they are MUCH LARGER AND EASIER TO SEE (see below). In fact, they show up so well that I don’t normaly use
“Territory Control Markers” any more because they aren’t necessary and just ‘clutter-up’ the gameboard,…even on a map that’s been 150% enlarged to
4’ x 9’.Tall Paul

Paul, I would love do that, but Spitfire38 is not as strong in that area as he would like to be, he says, so I told him the decals are fine. I’m just trying to see what size decal I need, since I’m not having them painted. This company is a second possibility in getting these decals, but I got to see if 2 mm is small enough or not. :-)
-
2mm is fine. In fact 3mm would probably work too. I have put over 1000 little 3mm magnets into those bases and I know there is plenty room to fit a 3mm disc in the center of the base. You could also put them on the open side of the base kinda like I did with my inf. Mehusla’s decals are very nice and I have ordered countless decals from him without any problems. If you order more than one set from him make sure you log into Ebay through UK Ebay. That way you can add to cart and have only 1 shipping charge. ;)

Thanks buddy, this helps a lot. :-D

Paul, I really love your bases and the way they are painted. I chose the decal method because the bases I painted didn’t pass my QC, hehe.

That is how me and Spitfire38 felt, he would have done it, if I truly wanted it, but both us weren’t comfortable, because he hasn’t done much of that, and we are both happy how my infantry turned out, so that is all that matters. :-D

**––I truly hope nobody thinks thinks I was “showing off”,…that’s just NOT me or the way I am. I was just trying to make the point that the painted bases are MUCH LARGER and show up much better,…thus eliminating the need for “territory control markers”, at least in my games. Keep up the good work as I’m looking forward to more pics!Tall Paul**

No, not at all, we just felt it would benefit us both, by doing the decals. That is all, I was saying. Your input is always, greatly appreciated. :-D

I agree with John. I was not taking it that way either.

Man, that is a very nice set, and your son’s scout car is cool. Right on, man. Just keep it up! :-D
-
Your array of military forces keeps getting more and more awesome – I’m totally blown away by the amount of work you’ve been putting into this and by the quality of the results.
-
Your Churchill tanks are nice! love the detail you pulled out of them well done! Are all your decals I 94?
-
Oooooh man, great work. That RAF looks so nice, especially when next to your navy. Are your CV decks stickers?
-
Thanks again for all the kind comments.
The decals are from I-94 UK armor markings. They fit perfect and are already pre-cut ;)
The carriers are custom decals I made. The Formidable Carrier layout was designed by Dedo. The others I designed myself.
