I’m referring to the new neutral rules for Global 1940 created by @Charles-de-Gaulle :
Neutral Set
-
Here is the proposed list for the Neutral set.
It will be done in 6 colors:White - Strict Neutral
Light grey - Pro-Axis
Light Green - Pro-Allies
Orange - Netherlands
Yellow - Mix with Minor Axis set to complete army
Ivory - Mix with Minor Axis set to complete army.
Dark grey ?? (Match another Minor Axis Set?) FMG dice color(10) Infantry - Netherlands Soldier (Helmet mixes well with different nations)
(4) Artillery - 75mm 7 veld (Netherlands)
(2) Tank - 7Tp (Poland)
(2) Fighter - Fokker DXXI (Netherlands)
(2) Bomber - Pzl P-37 (Poland)
(2) Transport - Arundo (Netherlands)
(2) Sub - Orzel class (Poland)
(2) Destroyer - Admiralen Class (Netherlands)
(2) Cruiser - DeRuyter Class (Netherlands) -
Given the number of units you specified for these, will that meet the needs of the Neutral Set-ups in AAG40? for your Global 1939 Map?
-
“Coach”
These units indeed have a lot of merit. I think it’s great that HBG and FMG are co-operating as they in order to produce a large pool of well-detailed, useful units to increase the FUN level for ALL of us A&A fans. Thanks a LOT Guys, really! And you can definately count me in for several of each set that both of you produce.

It has a lot to do with the mold, I am trying to keep the cost down for someone who only wants a few pieces and if you need more, a second set can be purchased. the bigger the mold, the more money it costs.

any chance for a polish soldier and a polish fighter in the future?
-
I for one would love it if you produced a dark grey color to mix with FMG / OOB German Revised. I say that the more we can mix and match sets the better. Any chance you will produce a TAC fighter or Air Transport for an upcoming Axis Minors / Neutral. I hope so. I hope that my Finns and Romanians can one day have a more complete unit line up. (Including the less useful Battleship and Aircraft carrier, but thats just me.)
Also I noticed on your site that you don’t list OOB Italy Brown as a selection for the Axis minors. Did this change. I also noticed that your description doesnt match the selection. And one more, is the light gray going to be the same light grey as the neutral set? Hopefully so, IMHO. Im also assuming that dark gray means the Medium FMG gray listed in the description Any clarification on the webpage would be appreciated. Thanks again and keep up the excellent work.

(2) Sub - Orzel class (Poland)
(2) Destroyer - Admiralen Class (Netherlands)
(2) Cruiser - DeRuyter Class (Netherlands)I dont think this list needs a submarine unit, but replace with a tactical bomber piece. You will get more bang for the buck that way.
Also, you should post pictures of the exact color of light grey and light green… i don’t think you need the other colors either.
-
or make the subs for the dutch ?
-
Sounds good. I’m painting my minis anyway so exact colours aren’t a big issue in the longterm but since painting is slow many pieces will remain bare plastic through many games…. Also there’s a need to mark all pieces in a nation set with the national colour so in that regard I suppose it’s important to lock in nation/colour mash ups.
Now we need more maps and custom games to play on… Winter war, Budapest, earlywar:Poland, early war:west… I’m yet to get the italian map but it seems almost to good to be true. I think games with a focus on the less played fronts or battles are where the real fun will be…

Coach,
Is the Neutral’s “Light Grey” a different color than the Axis Minor’s “Light Grey”?
BTW thanks for clarifying the OOB Brown color on your website. It was appreciated. Keep up the good work.

No, there will be some overlap in colors,
Light grey, yellow, and maybe one more. -

I think that is the overall plan from HBG.

any plans on an Allied minors set to mix with neutrals?
-
i don’t think they are going to do a neutral set for a while they still have other major powers they have to supplement. i think coach said he would do another neutral set if threes enough interest in it. i left a wish list for the next set before
Polish infantry:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Polish_infantry_marching_-2_1939.jpgA generic partisan infantry (something that could fit with maybe Yugoslavian/baltic states feel to it) maybe somthing like this:
http://www.warrelics.eu/forum/military_photos/docs-paper-items-photos-propaganda/114805d1276680810-group-photo-greek-soldiers-1941-lastscan.jpgI know everyone didnt like the Fokker Gi but i think it would look cool as a tac bomber.
Submarine:
either the Dutch K XIV
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K_XIV_class_submarine
Or the Polish Orzel class Sub
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ORP_Orzeł_(1938)a coastal defense ship
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:HMS_Oden.jpgMedium Tank:
i was thinking maybe the american made dutch semi used Marmon-Harrington MTLS-1GI4 medium tank, it has a neutral looking feel to it

its the tank on the rightand another pic; http://www.overvalwagen.com/images/mhbiga4.jpg
Plus would still love to see that PZL p.24 fighter, the P.24 was used my a number of differnt nations through out the war, including Greece, Poland, Bulgaria,Romania, and Turkey

i’m surprised we got neutral set with anything other than infantry. And very surprised it was released before USSR, UK, and Japan. I kind of get Italy, France and Anzac but before 3 of the 5 Major Powers? As far as USSR, UK and Japan goes I’m surprised we got two German sets and two American sets first and almost got a third american set.
