Next scenario French & British Empires, versus, Austro-Hungary & Ottoman Empires. Here the Allies need to blockade the AH Navy, and, reduce the Ottoman provinces. They can concentrate their land forces via transports upon Ottoman forces. While AHE needs to gain naval dominance to try to its fellow Axis power, while the Turks need to hang on, until help arrives.
Easier said than done.
Round One: AHE builds 2 BBs. The fleet sails to off Jordan, &, BB, C, &, transport with 2 troopers, versus, British C & transport. Losses Axis BB damaged & all Allies, with 2 troopers landed to support Ottoman in Jordan.
France builds BB, sub., &, transport, Brest Fleet heads for S. France Fleet, while land forces heads for southern part of France(fighter flies in from capital). Also from W. Africa 2 troopers move towards Tunis.
Fleet from S. France BB, C, &, transport(2 troopers from Algeria & Tunis), go to off Jordan, versus, AHE BB(damaged), C, &, transport. Losses only Fr. transport survives, 2 troopers land(no lost to defending gun), versus, AHE 2 troopers & Ottoman 2 troopers & gun. Losses trooper lost for Axis & Allies, Jordan contested.
British Empire builds fighter & transport, &, for India 2 troopers & 2 guns. Moves land forces in Africa to Egypt, C from India arrives off Egypt, another C from Canada & transport(with trooper & gun) arrives off S. France. Home fleet of BB, 2 C, &, transport with trooper & gun, heads for Jordan. London garrison heads for Wales.
In Mesopotamia battle, BB from India shells(scores a hit), while defending Ottoman gun fails to score a hit. Landed trooper & gun each score a hit, while defending trooper & gun score only one hit. Losses Allies a gun & Axis all, Mesopotamia falls!
Joining the Fr. trooper in Jordan, from Egypt 6 troopers & 2 guns, versus, AHE trooper & Ottoman 2 troopers & gun. Losses Allies 3 troopers & Axis all, Jordan falls!
Ottoman Empire builds fighter, gun, & 2 troopers. Reinforcements are sent to Jordan & Mesopotamia, while trying to cover the coastal provinces from future sea landings. From Smyrna 6 troopers & gun enter Jordan, versus, Fr. trooper & BE 3 troopers & 2 guns. Losses Axis 4 troopers & Allies Fr. trooper & BE 2 troopers & gun. From Ankara 6 troopers & gun enter Mesopotamia, versus, BE trooper. Losses trooper each side, Mesopotamia retaken!
From Syria a trooper & capital 2 troopers enter Ankara, &, from capital 2 troopers & gun enter Smyrna.
Axis sea power is 2C only, &, in two or so rounds the Ottoman will probably have to come to the peace table. All the Allies have to do is take out more land forces the Ottoman can replace, &, keep the AHE fleet blocked, hard, but, not impossible.
Ottoman take a chance & 2C enter Egyptian waters, versus, Brit. C & Fr. transport, losses Axis a C & Allies all.
Round Two: AHE builds up naval forces of transport, sub., &, BB. Moves 2 BB from Home Waters & links up with Ottoman C off Jordan.
France builds BB & transport & fighter. From off Spain to off Italy, BB & transport arrives(picking up trooper & gun from Marseilles). Moves BB, sub., fighter, &, 2 transports(2 troopers & 2 guns), to off Jordan, versus, AHE 2 BB & Ottoman Cruiser. Losses Allies damaged BB, sub., &, fighter, &, Axis all. Taking a chance Fr. naval forces win, &, allows land forces to debark into Jordan.
BB shells forces in Jordan, &, defending gun fires back(losses a trooper each side). Trooper & 2 guns, versus, AHE trooper & Ottoman trooper & gun(no losses either side).
British Empire builds BB, 2 transports, &, gun, and, for India a fighter. Moves from S. France a C & transport(gun & trooper) to off Jordan. From India BB & transport(with trooper & gun), &, fighter flies in. Also BB shells & takes out an AHE trooper & defending gun scores a hit(one trooper). Battle 3 troopers & 3 guns & fighter, versus, Ottoman gun & trooper. Losses Allies 2 troopers & all Axis, Jordan retaken!
Entering waters off S. France, BB & transport(troop & gun), while 2 C joins Fr. fleet off Italy. Two transports(2 troopers & 2 guns) leave Wales for Jordan.
Ottoman Empire builds sub. & 3 troopers. Moves 2 troopers from Mesopotamia & 2 troopers from Ankara to Syria, along with 3 troopers & gun into Smyrna from capital. Also moves forces into Jordan from Smyrna & fighter from capital flies in. Battle fighters duel & Allied fighter destroyed, 3 troopers, gun, &, fighter, versus, Fr. trooper & 2 guns, and, Brits. 2 troopers & 3 guns. Losses Axis all but a trooper, &, Allies Fr. gun, &, Brits. trooper & gun. Jordan contested!
Ottoman Empire goes to the peace table, even if they still had a C left off Jordan, the onrushing tide of Allies warships, much less 10 transports, makes a third round, not a good idea. Defensives in the western part of the empire are starting to fail. Better to deal with a show of strength, than to be overrun by the Allies. AHE navy can only help so much.
Give part of oil fields exploration to the Allies, comp. & keep its Alliance with AHE by allowing them to join the Ottomans in the oil fields. Physically allow a token Allied force in S. Jordan(same for Ottoman), &, some permanent passage of Allies navy through the straits. Allies can use AHE home waters.
