I figure he loves his job and you dont need to thank him. In fact he should tank you, man. You american tax-payers pay his wage so he can be there and do what he loves to do. I know because I used to do this stuff myself when I was young, and I was grateful to be send to that kind of places and even get paid to do that stuff, and get medals too. Man, if you do this stuff home in America, you go to jail. Do it in Afghanistan and you get a medal.

Crunch are you American? Also to  dezrtfish we all appreciate what you do. Hopefully with this victory we can be sever al steps ahead of Al Queida (eh not sure the spelling) and even terrorism for that matter.

Haha well considering were next door neighbors you’d think Canada and the US would be pretty close. Then again Mexico is a neighbor to. Personally I’d say America, Britain, and it’s former colonies are close as far as nations go. Trace all of our roots back as far as 250 years and it all comes back to the good Ol UK.

Razor, this isn’t a political debate. That being said, I am very aware that I pay his wage and I make sure my voice is heard politically. Nonetheless, soldiers by nature of the profession put their lives on the line, regardless of whether it is right or not. I have no desire to get shot, so I applaud soldiers for their service. Hopefully the taxpayers will have their voices heard for the soldiers sake.

Allow me to offer my word of Thanks to the armed service veterans who keep the rest of us safe.

OBL was killed about a month ago, and the Seal team got laptops and jump drives, etc… that should have been utilized for follow up operations.

I wonder if the follow up raids were

1  kept secret, or
2  maybe the trail has gone cold again.

Well, if we take a look at where his hide-out cave was located, I figure a follow-up operation would come at a too high cost, considering that Pakistan do got the A-bomb.

Because members know if they start turn this thread into a political skirmish, us mods will empty it from the forum faster than a PBR stand at a hipster convention.

I figure Bin Laden won the first battle then, the battle of Freedom of speach. His death was a small sacrifice for that great victory.

Seal Team Six shoulda gotten a paid vacation.  Just IMHO.
