Regarding SZ 110, I got hosed one time on a UK scramble. Usually as Germany, I send 3 fighters, 3 Stukas, 1 bombers and sometimes 1 sub to SZ 110. Our UK player had gotten in the habit of not scrambling in order to save the RAF for future action.
Well, this one game I made the mistake of just assuming UK would not scramble. I sent 2 fighters, 2 Stukas and 1 bomber to SZ 110. The other fighter and Stuka I sent to kill the French fleet in SZ 93. Well, UK taught me a lesson. They scrambled and wiped out my planes. I didn’t even kill all the ships in the channel.
Never made that mistake again.

Can you destroy carriers as casaulties or make them damaged if you have aircraft in a fight that would need to land on them? Or since the aircraft would otherwise be unable to land, would you be forced to take aircraft as casaulties until an extra carrier is no longer needed to land them.
You can take the carriers as hits.

You can take the carriers as hits.
The only time you have to worry about the rule against suicide fighters is in the combat movement phase. You have to demonstrate that if all fighters survive combat they have a safe landing place.
During combat you can choose any casualties you want (except for ships in an amphibious assault, of course).

Is the exception related to transports?

No, but you’re right. You can never choose transports until they’re the only boat remaining.
I meant when you fire a supporting shot you can’t lose the ships.

So as long as I go into combat saying “If everything survives, these fighters can land”, I can knock out all of my carriers and have them suicide due to lack of an actual landing zone.

Sorry if this has been asked and answered already… Playing Global, UK has declared war on Japan. Can UK-Pacific move warships into the sea zone around The Philippines while U.S. warships are there? If so, can Japan attack those ships without also attacking the U.S. fleet?

Can aa guns combat move into a territory even though they won’t participate in combat?
Can a transport unload in both combat and noncombat phases of the same turn? Like say I’m transporting 1 infantry into normandy in combat move. I take normandy. Can I then dropan aa gun into the same territory if I took normandy that turn assuming the inf and aa gun were looaded on the same transport at the same time?

So then there is no way to land an AA gun in a territory that wasn’t yours at the start of the turn without having an extra transport dedicated to just that?

Well, it doesn’t have to be dedicated to just that, as it can also bring an infantry, but it must unload only in noncombat movement.

When can allies move into russian territories?
What is the Alpha setup?

When can allies move into russian territories?
If the USSR is at war with Germany and/or Italy, Allied nations that are also at war may move units into Soviet territories on the Europe map. If the USSR is at war with Japan, Allied nations that are also at war may move units into Soviet territories on the Pacific map.
What is the Alpha setup?
It’s a new, experimental setup for the game (with some rules adjustments), which can be found on Larry Harris’ website.

Does a minor upgrading to a major count toward production capacity?
Like, if I upgrade a minor complex to a major complex, can I still build 3 infantry or does the upgrade itself count as a production and I can only build 2 units?
-
You can build 3 other units.

If the UK buys tech where is it subtracted from? London or India? Or is there a choice of how to split it?
-
Either can pay.
-
But they can’t split it(UK can’t pay 3 and India 2, for example)
