BOTB Play by Forum?
-
Has anyone come up with a way to play Battle of the Bulge here by forum? With the ability to “roll” 12 sided dice on the site dicey, probably just need a common hex numbering system? (of course, having never actually played, I’m only guessing)

I think there is way too much to keep track of to play BOTB by forum without something like TripleA. Also as combat goes back and forth it would take a lot of e-mails. I don’t think BOTB lends itself to play by post at all.

Okay, thanks. I’ve had this game for a couple of months now and still haven’t played :-(

:? Find an opponent get in a game. :-)
The game is a whole lot of fun. It is a lot more fluid than the other A&A games and the random casualties and supply aspect give it a very different “feel” than the other A&A games. Also with stacking limits you can’t stack up as many infantry as you can.
When you do combat you determine intiative and the winner chooses a hex or hexes to attack and that is resolved. Then the other player chooses a hex to attack and combat is resolved. A combat phase could take a couple weeks playing by forum. Also with zones of control the chance for mistakes during movement increase a bunch. IMO it isn’t a good play by e-mail.

I need Imperious Leader’s map file and I can work on a module for MapView.

You would certainly need Mapview for it. Abattlemap probably isn’t up to the task.

I just ran across this thread. Anyone had any luck making a game module fior this one?

Nope.
