Anyone who watched both Battle of Britain and Dunkirk understands which of the two is a better war movie
The Pacific War
-
This is going to be a new HBO series like Band of Brothers, only of course following soldiers that fought in the pacific. Get info about it at the following link.

If it’s as good as the Band of Brothers series, I’m totally on it!
I’ll check the link later for the details…I enjoyed rereading Band of Brothers after watching the series, and hopefully there’s a book that corresponds to this one.

Yes, Band of Brothers was a really good series. For Christmas I bought the series for my son, when it came out on DVD’s. He’s enjoyed it as much as I did. I’ll be looking forward to the new one. Hope it measures up.

Yea I hope its as good as Band of Brothers. I heard that one of the characters in the series was going to be Sgt. Basilone. He served in the Battle of Guadalcanal and did some crazy stuff there. Lots of people were surprised that he survived that ordeal. Eventually he died during the Battle of Iwo Jima.

Too bad Dale Dye won’t be helping with it. RIP Cpt. Dye.

Hey what you talking about? I know him… what happened?
not this guy right?

Did he really die? If he did that would suck. He had a great knowledge of everything militaria.

Yeah, from what I read in the news last August was that Cpt. Dale Dye checked out, and another military vet was appointed to take his place as military advisor in Hollywood.
I can’t seem to find the article though. And on second thought I could be wrong, so I went to the website he started www.warriorsinc.com to verify this. I’ll let you know what the response is.
EDIT
The response was received as following: From: “admin” admin@warriorsinc.com Absolutely not! He’s alive and well and doing just fine.
(Now proceeding to beat self for being an idiot)./admin@warriorsinc.com

Thank god. Without him, hollywood war movies would be horribly inaccurate.
