A&A 1940 Global National Objective Card Deck
From Young Grasshopper…
Hello everyone,
I had created a national objective card deck and provided it here, however… there were a few errors and the cards were misaligned. Therefore, with a little help from Stauffenberg …we are providing a new link to a card deck with the errors corrected and the cards aligned for easy cutting. Just want to say thanks to Stauffenberg, here is his post…
From Stauffenberg…
_Hey folks,
after asking YG for his permission, I am offering his cards (without houserule cards) in a slightly modified version.
They are still mainly YG’s work and he remains the author of them.
I just changed the font to a mil stencil type. While doing so, I revised some of the headlines and texts, the latter mainly to fit into the box with the new font and also to “correct” minor things that differed from the rulebook. I also corrected the “Egypt-mistake” that YG pointed out on one of the Italian NOs.
Last but not least, I rearranged the cards on the printing sheets so that they line up and are therefore a lot easier to cut out.
To get regular sized cards, print both sheets onto DIN A3 or Ledger/Tabloid format paper.
To get mini cards, print the sheets onto DIN A4 or Letter format paper.I had mine printed on heavy cardboard (300g/m) at a local copy shop, it is not necessary to laminate them if printed on such stiff cardboard.
Here they are, enjoy:_

Best wishes_

Yes, thank you as well. Very nicely done. Printed and ready to go for our next game (which will be our first 1940 global game). :)

Hi everyone,
I would just like to add another idea for you to make these cards… usually these cardboard sheets can be printed on both sides.
So if you would like to have a colored backside for the cards instead of just white, go ahead and choose a picture or pattern for the backside. As it is quite difficult to have individual pictures aligned for each card to be printed exactly on the same position on the backside, I just went ahead and used a camo pattern to print on the backside of the whole sheet. That way, all the cards are kind of randomly camo colored on the back which gives a nice touch to them without the trouble of alignment.
I chose a WWII “Flecktarn” (mottled camo) pattern used by the Germans, which I found on Wikipedia:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flecktarn
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flecktarn#/media/File:SS_Platanenmuster_Sommer.jpgYou can of course use other camo patterns like US woodland:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/US_WoodlandWikipedia and/or Google picture search are a good resource for high resolution files to use for this kind of application.
I added an already edited file of that German Flecktarn ready to use to print on the backside.
Best wishes!

Custom Extra Cards for Europe and Pacific National objectives:
With the addition of a few extra cards to the Global set this can be used for both the separate AA Europe 1940 SE as well as the Pacific 1940 SE versions. I made these extra cards by simply editing the originals on my computer. These have the corresponding symbol “E” for Europe and “P” for the Pacific at the top right and replace the corresponding card from the Global set. They can be seen at the link below along with an additional suggestion for the back cover:

I have also made some tables with the National Objectives and Policy for the Europe, Pacific and Global versions. Territories are written in their original national colors regardless of whether they are the objective of another national power. They are also listed with the original national colors the various data on the Political Situation Chart of each national power, depending on which other powers they concern:

@always-wanderer Looks nice but I hate to be the bearer of bad news.I think there is mistakes with Italys bonuses for Iraq and the 2 persias. They should be 2 ipcs for each(not 5 ipcs)
-
@ampdrive Ok, I fixed it. Not so bad news. Thank you!

I also found another way to print these cards individually directly on a card printing website, in Bridge card size. Presented at the link:
