@The_Good_Captain The rule applies in all sea battles where there are sea units allied to the attacker present, regardless of the type(s) of defending German sea units. The rule mentions only German subs because the author failed to take into account the possibility that the situation could also exist with German surface units if they were mobilized in a hostile sea zone. This oversight was corrected in the Axis & Allies Pacific Rulebook.
Doubt about Sardinia and Corsica
-
Can the allies make an amphibious assalt in Corsica or Sardinia?
I mean, are they islands such as Creta or Malta? Thanks.
-
In looking at the map, I see no reason why the Allies coudn’t amphibiously assault those islands.
-
Im pretty sure any island in AAE can be landed upon
-
It could be useful to do an amphibious assault in Sardinia and put in there the german land units, in order to prevent from an stuka attack from Italy. On board, land units are cargo and can’t defend, in land they do.
-
it’s useful to take as uk and bomb north italy with usa assuming that germany doesn’t have fighters in north italy
-
would make a great axis scare :P
-
If the island has a name, it’s a single territory.
