@SuperbattleshipYamato Being damaged does not stop battleships from bombarding.
Cruiser comparison picture please
-
Would someone be so kind as to post a photo comparing the color and size of a German 1914 cruiser with an Anzac cruiser from Pacific 40 2nd edition. Â I would greatly appreciate it. Â
-
Yes, I can do that. I’ll post the picture sometime Wednesday morning. Are there any other comparative shots I should take at the same time while I have my camera set up?
-
Thank you! If you would set a sub, battleship and transport from 1914 in the shot as well, that would be great. Also, above and front shots with a 1914 biplane sitting between an Anzac fighter and Anzac tactical bomber would be a great help. Thank you again!

No problem. Are the three extra ships to be compared with the first two, or with their respective ANZAC counterparts? Just checking to make sure I’m interpreting correctly.
-
Compared to their counterparts would be great but whatever is easiest for you is fine with me.

Okay, that should be easy enough.
By the way, the eighth picture in this set…

…shows a German 1914 / ANZAC 1940 colour comparison for the infantry units. I’ll try to improve the lighting in the new pictures, however. I assume you’re trying to determine how compatible the two sets of sculpts are.
-
Yes. I need some specific units for a Pacific War scenario that I’m working on and some of the 1914 units might fit the bill nicely if sizing and color are good.
-
I got a chance after all to post these tonight rather than tomorrow. The pictures a bit rough (I took them quickly owing to lack of time), but I hope they’ll give you the information you’re looking for. I’ll post them in separate messages below. Here’s the first one.

The second one.

The third one.

The fourth one.

The fifth and last one.

Perfect!! These will work wonderfully! The biplane will work well to represent a Fairey Swordfish. The others will have their uses as well. I cannot thank you enough!!

My pleasure. As you can see from the overhead ship pictures, the ANZAC and German 1914 shades aren’t a great match (at least not under daylight conditions, which is what I used to take the pictures), but at least they’re in the same ballpark.
-
They’re close enough for government work. :-D
-
Strangely enough, it looks like the planes are closer in color than the ships are. Or maybe it’s just the lighting.

It’s probably the lighting. I moved my table around in some of the shots to get direct sunlight on the sculpts, to see if this would affect how the colours looked relative to each other.
