‘Panther’ seems a logical successor to the preceding ‘Leopard’, but as far as animals are concerned, ‘panther’ isn’t a separate species - it’s a term often used for black leopards. And the official Latin names of all the big cats start with Panthera, including Panthera tigris. So from that perspective, a Tiger is a Panther.

The local Ontario Regiment Tank Museum (where we hold FMGCon in the adjacent RCAF 420 Wing building) had a big event this past weekend with multiple tanks and other military vehicles, a military encampment and re-enactments. Â

Great video … right up until the very end when the German re-enactors are running and suddenly the “WTF?” moment. Â :)
