My wife commented on this subject with her answer, What Dreams May Come.
I loved Robin Williams as a bad guy in One Hour Photo.
Too many to pick one. Same with food, movies, etc.
Actually, my favorite band was the one I was in. I didn’t really go anywhere, but it was fun and I still enjoy listening to our recordings.
But to give some real answers:
The Pixies
Precious Fathers
Budos Band
Frank Zappa
The Advantage
I really just listen to a lot of different crap.

You too Jermo, I was also in a band and released an album. A +1 to you.

I wouldn’t say we released any albums, but we definitely had sets of recordings (mostly from parties and one show). I really want to play again some time.
What did you do in your band?

you should post some of the recordings here.
Glenn Miller, Maynard Fergueson, Count Basie, Spyro Gyra, Chicago, Steely Dan, Chuck Mangione, Aerosmith, Yes, Leonard Skynard, …
EMINEM
10,000 Maniacs, Enya, BOC
Battlefield Band
Dire Straits
Marshal Tucker Band
Alabama
The Beatles
…someone had to do it. 8-)
Morrissey, The Cure, Lucinda Williams, Johnny Cash, Skinny Puppy. These get the most play in my cd player. Occasionally I will throw in some Metallica like Master of Puppets or …And Justice for All.
Morrissey
:)
I was fortunate enough to be able to see Morrissey live here in town on 05/11/07. One of the best shows that I have ever been at. He started with the classic “The Queen is Dead” and the rest of the show was a mix of old Smiths tunes and songs up to “Ringleader of the Tormentors.” His newest album “Years of Refusal” is really good.
I saw him 6 times since '03. He always puts on a great show. Always a perfect combo of Smiths/solo stuff. Years of refusal was much better than ringleader of tormentors but not as good as You Are The Quarry.
Alice in Chains have always been my all-time fav, pretty big fan. Grew up in the middle of the Grunge age so my other favs are Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden, 311, and Faith No More. I am also a sucker for late 80’s early 90’s hair bands.
Today I was in the mood for some Simon and Garfunkel.

Which brings to mind one of my favorites, your lyric clue “…buy you some art, a Picasso or a Garfunkel.”

Glad to see I didn’t make it too hard.

What a coincidence, I’m gonna see them live Wednesday. Third row!
Also, whenever I’m driving and my friends are with me, there is only one rule. If ZZ Top comes on, we crank it, no ifs ands or buts. Favorite band.
