If you can convoy japan and take korea directly… that is always a good thing… but that rarely works out because of naval bases and airbases, usually it is best to attack the money islands (easier and more reliable) from ANZAC you can hit everything you need to. You start with two transports in the pacific, I recommend buying your naval pieces round 1 and maybe getting a transport round 2 (you start with infantry on the mainland so you don’t need to buy that until after 2 or 3 more boats).

Nice video! Admmitedly France isn’t that complicated to play (just not that many options) compared to other powers, but I do think it’s incredibly useful for new players confronting a multitude to different Axis strategies over several games from an experienced German player.
Some notes:
-
The French fighters scrambling from London by itself wouldn’t kill a German submarine in sea zone 110, as the Allies don’t have destroyers in that sea zone on turn 1. Of course, the fighter can still kill German aircraft or surface ships or provide an extra hitpoint so the British battleship can kill a submarine. Your overall point still stands.
-
I notice that on your map, the number which denote the number of IPC’s a territory is worth don’t have circles around them as opposed to my Global 1940 game (and TripleA). Do you know why that is? Thank you!
Otherwise I think this is great, especially for your first Axis and Allies video! The strategy seems sound.

@SuperbattleshipYamato I got mine just this year maybe that is why. I want to get the roll out mat for Global.
-
@SuperbattleshipYamato My mistake about the subs. I meant in general it will likely take out one more thing.
-
@SuperbattleshipYamato I wish Normandy/Broardeux was not connected to Holland/Belgium.
-
Unlike other configurations on the map, I don’t really know how it can be done any other way. It wouldn’t make much sense to have the Paris territory extend all the way to the coast.
-
@SuperbattleshipYamato Then I wish Normandy and Bordeaux were split there is enough room for them to split.
Normandy could have guy 1 artillery minor industrial complex, Bordeaux could have 1 mech and a naval base.
-
Good idea. Hard to do normally on TripleA though.

Its actually better to let the BB die before the fighter, as it removes both subs from the fight. And is guaranteed to hit back unlike the BB that can be sunk with a lucky sub hit.
And if germany retreats the fighter survives but did have a decent shot at killing a germany fighter. -
Makes sense. I’ll try it sometime.
