I came to the same conclusion. In fact, from the get go my plan was not to attack Moscow this turn. I wanted to turtle you, destroy your lenningrad force fairly cheaply, and take stalingrad and the caucaus.Your focus on Germany instead of Japan, with a solid bridge head in Greece forced my hand.
I realized that if I didn’t take the risk, Germany would not get a second chance -
80% odds with 2 ground units left is not an outcome one should plan on for a winning strategy. Not on a board like this
