  • @ClintA strategies to focus on in this version of AA. Go for your national objectives. For instance, if Japan takes the four islands - Java, Borneo, Celebes and Sumatra… in addition to the 15 IPC, you get a 5 IPC bonus. Meanwhile you will also be cutting 4 iPC of India’s original income - so a 24 buck swing. (2) Bulgaria is pro axis - so your germans or Italians should walk one unit in on NC (noncom) and you get extra men and money. (3) you left troops on transports in a couple of places. Sometimes this is a good move, but in general, you likely want to drop them on land immediately. In this version, you load, transport and drop. You could even (just as an example) Load one guy from Japan into sz 6. Move to sz 19 and load another guy from Okinawa and then because you started in a zone with a naval base, move two more spaces to sz 36 and off load both troops into Kwangsi (must unload to same territory). This would have prevented Japan walking in & given you “Ground pounders” next round

  • @ClintA There is only scrambling from airbases! Consider too your national objectives. If Italy/Axis controls 3 of 4 - S France, Greece, Egypt, Gibraltar - you get a five ipc bonus. If you were to restart this round consider this…1 - the Italian sub gets a secret shot vs the cruiser. Paired with a bomber, very formidable. 2 - Less is More. Rather than be everywhere, while not control the waters near your port, you could get 2 bombards, 2 more troops, 3 planes into Greece plus the 3 pieces in Albania. And send one Trasnport to lock off Gibraltar. If attack goes wrong, retreat. Kenya and Libya have units that should be attacking 2v1, 1v nothing.
