No need to be sorry. Happens to some new people.
Welcome to site. :-D
Hello all,
I know that the answer to this post is somewhere among all of the great posts and discussions, however I am having difficulty finding the answer that I want.
What is the most up to date, and widely used set of rules available for 1940 Global Second Edition? If there a PDF version? Would these rules be commonly used by all of the “Great Leaders” of this forum, such as GHG, YGH, Taamvan… etc etc to name a few?
Thanks in advance!
You can find PDF copies to all of the A&A rules here;

You can also get hard copies of the latest rulebooks here;

although it looks like Pacific is out of stock right now.
We usually just keep asking P@nther, just like the new guys. But it does help to at least refer to or just hold the rules when you are making a point, lots of gesticulating–-like a prepared speech.
We tried to read the rules, we really did. The part about convoys, when we originally read it, I though started a second combat phase somehow…like a new battle over the convoy…and im literally a lawyer, not a rules-lawyer, the other kind.
one more site with lots of pdf rules to many of the ana games axisallies.com

I know how to read, SH, I do it for a living.
I’ve played a lot of games, and since I’d played Axis and Allies before, I didn’t read the rules at all. I was much more interested in playing a game, 90% of which was already familiar. We consulted the rules when there was confusion, which was often. Reading the rules in detail first might have been helpful, but it still didn’t answer most of the 10% of questions that come up as exceptions, nuances or rare situations, which is why I read these boards. Sure there was plenty of slop and mistakes, but I admit when I’m wrong and try to do it correctly going forward.
