    Good point. TripleA (incorrectly) rolls the subs separately from the other units, and the sub hit. So I assumed you couldn’t dent the CV since that would leave the fighter stranded if I missed with the other units.

    I can’t in good conscience say that I would have retreated from that battle after the first round. Let’s see if the DD hit in the second round:
