Sometimes I find units do sort of spill over into nearby zones.In our last game we had a lot of units parked in Romania.We parked aaa guns and air units in the black sea and just announced that they’re all in Romania.Point the noses of the planes at the territory you want them to be in so there’s less chance of confusion.

I understand your reasoning, but I hope Larry isn’t planning for the two roundnels to be so similar, especially with so many bordering territories of theirs. Its not like its a Japanese roundnel and an Italian one :-P

I think i need to do IPCs before convoy boxes
and I think larry said convoy boxes have changed, not a sea zone within a sea zone, just a sea zone that deprives IPCs to another, like the WHOLE seazone is linked to a land territory.We will see, but thats how I will be doing it

I thought that there would be 6 territories between Berlin and Moscow???
Also, I feel, as a Canadian, that Central Canada should be worth 3 IPC as well. I’m still really peeved with the introduction of ANZAC and Italy without the input of Canada. Ah well. Such is game balance.

there were serious discussions about invading norway, by the axis, allies, and soviets. Making it worth 4 makes it a little more enticeing.

I still don’t think Sweden will be worth more then Norway. They should both be 3, and Finland at 2. I don’t see Larry changing to much from what he used in AA50.
I Know the iron ore in Sweden was a huge bonus to the axis, but they were handing it over to Germany anyway, so I don’t see why it should be worth so much. I could see it if they refused to trade with Hitler, but that wasn’t the case. Maybe tie all the Scandinavian countries to an NO or use convoy boxes to reflect the amount of trade that went on up there.

Yeah from what I have heard as well, the amount of territories you need to cross from Berlin to Moscow is around six. Sounds like a good number to me. Also I would love to see the Atlantic widened just enough to where you had to drop off troops in Britain before crossing the Channel over to Europe.

I dont know how best to reflect the scandinavian situation
Sweeden was “technicly” pro axis neutral….handed over what ammounts to IPCs (ore) and refused to join the allies.Norway was a strange pickle in 1940, the UK invaded practacly, then the Soviets demanded they leave, and the Germans invaded…this was the point where a 3 sided war would have devoloped, Axis vs Allies vs Comintern…but France got mangled, the UK backed down because they needed the Soviets, and the Soviets never got there because…
THE FINNS, who were technicly an axis power unto themselves, if one had to categorize the “Axis” by major players…
1. Germany
2. Japan
3. Italy
4. Rumania
5. Finland
6. HungarySo the Finnish territory should have some way of mobilizing new units, i have despised every axis and allies game to date for not reflecting the fact that Germany DID have many European allies, such as the Finns, who devisatated the Soviets in the Winter War. Finland should be roughly of the same value as the other scandinavian countries, but should start well defended, and with a minor factory or something.
I have always been a huge fan of “Victory Cities may produce 1 infantry during the mobilize units phase” Can you say Helsinki?

Finland should have enough in it to stop a soviet invasion. Because that’s exactly what they did.

I would suggest that the LOW COUNTRIES should start as Neutral if this game starts in May 1940. Also NORWAY should be a Neutral as at the time of the invasion of France. The issue was not yet decided and the British/French were still engaging the Germans in Norway.
Your map is awesome but these few political tweaks are needed.
