they did, only the tank in the south even survived, –in the north, a couple infantry, an ART and the tank. Allies should have dumped more into Bastogne and surrounding area i guess.
And since nothing else survived, the tank was cut off from supplies and allies didn’t bring any more up to allow it to even move.
Air combat Rules
-
Something strange about this rule.
-Initiative :
When you win the initiative you place the aircrafts in 1st… But with this system it’s an advantage when placing in 2nd…no ? (If German is 2nd, he may avoid the Allied supremacy in placing his aircrafts in “empty hexes” (why the term “Win the initiative”…?)
-Combat :
I think, that isn’t very realistic that an aircraft may force a ground unit to retreat…?I recently play a solitaire playing (good) and the german win with 30 VP (Screens on boardgamegeek)
Good game. 8-)

Per the FAQ, when you win the air combat initiative, you choose who places air units first.
It’s very realistic that an air attack can cause a ground unit to retreat. Bombing and strafing can make an area quite inhospitable.
