1940 Global USA declare war with Germany/Italy but not Japan

We have just started a new War. I am Allies. If I declare war on Germany/Italy (at Collect Income 3rd round) but not on Japan I have read in the forums that US would collect it’s wartime income. My question is this: If US does not attack Japan or declare war on it is the “unprovoked declaration of war against UK or ANZAC” (Page 9 in Pacific Rules) rule still in force? Would US still collect 30 IPC’s if Japan performs this unprovoked attack?

@genken yea so the 30 buck bump for USA only happens in the Pacific stand alone game, not in Global 40. Idk where it exactly says that in the rules, but that’s how it rolls.

The Political Situation rules for Powers on pages 8 through 10 apply only in Pacific games, as they are replaced with the ones on pages 35 through 39 in Global games. Thus, the 30 IPC payment to the US on page 9 applies only to Pacific games, and not to Global games, as it does not appear in the Global rules.
