Thanks, you played well again Pete. I agree that now the Axis will always have enough to slowly either get an economic win or Germany wins by VC victory.
Despite losing India Japan is strong enough to hold the position for a while.
USA either invests everything towards Germany and then Japan will hold the position, otherwise Germany will achieve VC victory.

I think you missed again some opportunities which could have put the Axis in real trouble.

Some Key Events that were clear mistakes in my opinion:

Round 6: The thin protection of Iraq allowing the Italian air strike. that tempo was HUGE for the Axis. Just one more inf and Axis lose a tempo.
Round 6: Same round you completely unnecessarily didn’t retake Burma allowing me to get the foot on India.

Round 8: I think it would have been an option to make a stand with full defense at India hoping it cripples Japan.
It is also fine not to make the stand but then the Chinese move into Ahnwe was a clear mistake. In addition that battle went great for but even an average result was great for Japan being too much of a slaughter of the purple. Without sacrificing this Chinese stack Japan would have had way more trouble on the Chinese main land.

I think these were the 3 key events that turned the game into the favor of the Axis.
Frankly, I am always rather pessimistic about my position, maybe I would still have won but I am certain that without these 3 moves the could still be unclear at the given state.

Oh, and in round 9 you did not kill the Japanese DD and TT at sz35. That looked like an oversight. That extra TT and DD was very nice for Japan!

And I posted this also in the result thread:

Early in the game I overlooked an US TT and left Japan undefended. Instead of just taking it, Pete made me aware of my mistake and allowed my to edit it. I accepted the offer.
