Retrieving the G40 thread: Cost structure (and naval units). The flaw.

@Imperious:
Obviously that is incorrect. The OP can delete the posts of others. Why is that not clear by now?
Obviously you have not been on this site long enough to understand. You are incorrect. The OP cannot remove other posts made by another poster. That would be ridiculous. Only a mod or the person whom made his own post can remove/edit it.
If it was even possible do you imagine how many more problems that would bring?
The OP cannot remove individual post from other member but he can delete them as a whole.
Isn’t?
You cannot do surgical intervention on a single post (but a Mod can) but you can obliterate all posts (as a Mod can do).
Which one is more powerful? -
Each poster whether he is OP or not can ONLY REMOVE OR EDIT HIS OWN POSTS.
NOT OTHERS.

I think they want an explanation as to why the “remove topic” option is available to any member who creates a thread. For the record… I support the option to do so.
-

That is not true. If you like I can demonstrate it for you. All I have to do is create a topic, then you to post in it. If I then remove the topic your post is gone. I will have deleted your post without your permission. It doesn’t even show up in your recent posts. This makes it unretrievable even for you to place in another thread.
-
Go make a thread in Global 40 or wherever the original post was. I will post and you will spend a lifetime clicking my post to remove it.
Then you will learn.
-
IL, as sick of this topic as I am. What they’re talking about is that they are upset because Uncrustable removed the topic from the forum and it took all of thier contributing posts to that topic with it.
What they are asking for is the topic to be reposted and/or the forum be redesigned so no topic can be deleted by the original poster and or any contributing posts to that topic remain visible on the forum.
They are right in respect that there is nothing left of the topic. The whole thread is gone. It has been my understanding that it has always been this way.
-
Look here.
Make a thread in global and i will post. Then see how you can remove my post. OK?
Then we can move forward.
-
yes correct. Only a mod can remove other peoples posts. Only the original poster can remove or edit his posts.
If the OP could just remove anothers post, this site would be dead a long time ago. The OP might have asked a moderator or the guy who posted removed it himself. Don’t blame the OP.
-
Well it’s too bad all this has gone down. I hope everybody eventually gets along. I enjoy and have enjoyed a lot of the members who have been involved posts. As for me I’m retiring from the subject.

So have you recovered the two posts you made to the “Demo for Imperious Leader” topic that I created and have now deleted? If you have, could you post a link to them and explain how others can do the same with their own lost posts?
-
You were supposed to just remove my posts and keep the thread. We must rry again. I made a thread this time, post twice and ill just remove your posts and keep the thread open… just like the actual thread.
-

No, I was supposed to remove your posts, which I did. That is the whole point that you have ignored from the beginning. Instead you’ve been making a bunch of erroneous claims.
-
You did nothing. You had a moderator remove that thread. Just post in the thread i made for you, we will see from the other side.
I am beginning to feel you just make up anything to cover your BS…
-
The OP cannot remove individual post from other member but he can delete them as a whole.
NO! he cant delete any post from another member.

No, I didn’t. Â It is one thing to question how a forum functions, but quite another to accuse me of lying. Â You seem to be the only one that doesn’t understand how this functions. Â Nobody else is arguing about it. Â What is your problem?
-
That nobody can remove anothers post. You cant even remove your own post in a thread you create, if others have posted.
Just like i said all along
-

Well, I deleted two of yours by removing a topic I created…just as has been the original point all along.
-

Well, you’ve been wrong all along, because I did just that. Removed topic I created with my single post in it, and the two posts you made in it, all by selecting the “remove topic.” Unlike you keep claiming it didn’t require moderator intervention.
-
@SS:
If you can only delete your own posts, than a mod had to remove the other posts that were not from the OP.
No, that is incorrect as you learned a few seconds ago when you created a thread, you and I both posted in it, and you removed it.
I tried refresh and got the “an error has occurred”
-
OK the problem is mostly fixed. The OP at this time can only lock but not remove topics. Never again can this crap happen.
Djensen will remove the lock topic button soon and get us those badges “customizer”
