Thank you so much!
Catching up on some reading …

I’m just having a quiet evening of reading the Axis & Allies 1914 rulebook, planning out the next article for axisandallies.org
I don’t have my copy yet but I’ve officially received a copy of the rulebook. I’ll try to get some news out tomorrow.
The political situation and minor power rules seem pretty decent. I was hoping for some Diplomacy-like game-dynamics but this is Axis & Allies not Diplomacy.

I can’t wait for an 8 player battle royale of this game at Spring Gathering in a few weeks!

:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Good news everyone!
-
Hey Djensen, can you post a pic of the Rulebook please? :-)
-
Great News!!!
Are there any Pictures of the Map in in the Rulebook?
Can you say anything about the rumor that Königsberg is located in Poland? -
Woot! Cannot wait. :)
-
Is Russian Revolution the only optional rule, or are there a whole bunch like National Objectives or Advantages, ANZAC units and so on?
-

The map in the rulebook is a little fuzzy. Poland is just Poland and is a Russian territory. I don’t see Königsberg on the map.

Yes, there are optional rules for the Russian Revolution. No National Objectives. No ANZAC but this is an 8 player game, 4 vs 4 so do you really need ANZAC too?

You mean 3 vs 5……or is Italy allowed to decide its on fate?
-
By ANZAC, I don’t mean a separate power, just some representation of this important contingent in the British forces.
By Konigsburg, Chacmool means East Prussia; essentially does Poland have a coastline (unhistorical) or does the German Prussian tt border Livonia (historical)?
On what turns do Turkey & Italy join?
What happens to sea minefields when the original owner’s naval base is captured, or when that country is knocked out of the war?
Can you amphibious assault form a contested SZ? - I guess not and this is why naval battles go on for as long as the attacker wants.
Do Congo, Angola and Mozambique have defending units, and it what circumstances are they placed on the map?

Wow, your questions are very specific.
Poland has a very small coastline.
The Ottoman Empire and Italy enter the game immediately. However, there is this in the rules, “The Austria-Hungary player, going first, is required to attack Serbia during his or her opening turn.”

All of the African territories are colonies that “belong” to a major power. Some start with units some don’t. I’ll post the setup later. The exception is that Empire of Ethiopia is a neutral minor power. And Spanish Morocco belongs to the Neutral Minor power of Spain.

Very interested in the political rules…. please continue!
