No. Air units have different retreat rules. They stay in the contested space until noncombat movement, then they move up to their remaining movement allowance (whatever movement was not used in combat movement) to a friendly territory or carrier. Also, air units cannot establish a retreat route for land or sea units.
Two quick questions…
-
1. I just took out a British destroyer with my planes in SZ 6 that was blocking my German fleet. Can I now take my ships through SZ 6 and attack some other ships since the SZ is no longer hostile?
2. If a territory says “impassable” is it impassable to planes too or just ground units?
-
1. Not in the same turn.
2. It is impassable to all units.
