UPDATE NEWS
Global was updated today to version 2.7
(that is the file version)
You guys all need to redownload the map. This is simple to do.
The fixes:
2.7
•Fixing Strategic Bombers so that they add +2 damage onto raids.
•Allowed USA to go to war if Japan declares war on ANZAC / UK.
•Added one missing UK infantry to Egypt.
•Dropped price of Cruisers to 9, when you have shipyards tech.
Everyone needs to download it.
Make sure that both you and your opponents have it. If your opponent does not have it, then you might end up playing by the old version….
INSTRUCTIONS (this is simple to do)************************************************************************************************
1. Start TripleA
2. Click DOWNLOAD MAPS
3. Click LIST GAMES
4. Select the game you want from the left
5. click INSTALL GAME
6. Once installation is complete, close tripleA, and restart it. DONE.

(you can copy and paste it in there, using CTRL C to copy and CTRL V to paste)

done- easy- it did take about 60 seconds to download so you are right you gotta be patient. You guys need to Bold Sticky these instructions on a separate thread for everyone- within “Software” or “Games” or both.
In all honesty, I don’t know that Stickying helps.
I never read the sticky threads, and just SCAN over them. Repeatedly. THey don’t stand out at all, even though they are listed on the front page LOL.
There’s still a problem with mech infantries not being able to blitz when paired with arms. The rest seems perfect. This must have been an headaching work!

…well, I got an error message. When choosing “World War II Global” in the map list, I get an errorbox saying “The map World War II Global cannot be downloaded as it comes installed with TripleA”.
Hmmmm, reinstalling TripleA might help. Any better ideas?
The map is already installed bro! Just close and restart. And move on to the next step per the instructions.
…well, hmmm, really? When I close and restart and click “Choose Game”, in the list is an entry “World War II Global 1940 Alpha 3”. Clicking it gives info on the right, it says “Version: 2.6” and the changelog only goes up to 2.6 as well.

you must click on the tanks AND the mech inf, at the same time
so, if you click 1 tank and 1 mech inf, then it will be allowed
if you click 1 tank and 2 mech inf, then it might allow 1 mech inf to blitz or it might disallow the whole move
if you click 1 tank, and move it
then later click 1 mech inf, and try to move it also,
then the move will be disallowed
you have to move them together

this error stems from having the “Bundled” version…
because the bundled version comes with Global 2.6, it is stopping you from downloading any maps that come with it (because until recently it caused errors to do so. i fixed the errors so that i could make a bundled version for gargantua, but then i forgot to fix this message stopping you [didn’t know it existed]).
Solution 1: delete the global that comes with triplea, then try the download maps button again
Open up some program to look at files in your computer
browse to Program Files, or where-ever you installed TripleA
for me it is: C:\Program Files (x86)\TripleA\triplea_1_5_2_1\maps
Go to the “Maps” directory, and delete “World War II Global”
Solution 2: manually install the map
Download new version from: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/tripleamaps/maps/World War II Global.zip
Save it to, or copy and paste it to overwrite the old version, in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\TripleA\triplea_1_5_2_1\maps
(or where ever you installed triplea to)

As soon as you make the claim “Hey this is easy!” It all falls apart LOL.
1. Open Triple A
2. Press “Download maps”
3. make sure this is in the box “Select Download Site”:
http://downloads.sourgeforge.net/project/tripleamaps/triples_maps.xml
4. Press “List Games” (wait 15 seconds or so and menu will pop up)
5. On the left select “World War II Global”
6. Press “Install Game” at the bottom (this may take 60 seconds)
You should now have the updated version- AAGlobal 2.7
