As for my rudeness.

Board games are social in nature. On triple a lobby games I do my turns quickly and usually web browse. You guys should play on the lobby, it is fun and you will see more games played out. Also you will see J1 DOW frequently. I wasn’t the first to do it, just the first to post it on the forum, with some advice. You can obviously mix some things up, like cruiser 2 bomber fighter is overkill for a bship, maybe you don’t send the cruiser. Maybe all the naval is at phil and nothing to block a FIC drop. That is a choice. Just like choosing not to declare war on J1 or J2 is a choice, except it is a bad choice and I can only be disappointed in you.

For forums, of course I am going to talk trash before the game starts. Feel my power.

I don’t know you from a hole in the wall, so maybe you’re a pretty nice guy in person.  But you sure don’t come across that way here.

No not looking for games right now (just doing the tourny games), I usually play more from Nov-Apr, that doesn’t mean I don’t read the forums in between.  From May to October my schedule is a little hectic at times so I don’t want to commit to a handful of games.

I don’t feel bad about anything.  In fact, its been a while so I don’t even remember that game.  Obviously its on your mind.  I must be in your head or something.  You’ll get a chance to play me again soon enough- I’ll let you in on a little secret though, you’re low on the priority list- mid-tier players just get that kind of treatment- I know you understand.

You get your rest, I know you’ll need it.  Do me a favor and PM me in November for a game.  Maybe you’ll get lucky and play me in the tourny- wouldn’t that be an honor for you??? :-D

Don’t be scur homie. I won’t rub it in. All the talk is before and during, not after, but not talking smack while rolling dice is like not squeezing the cards in baccarat, it is like not being superstitious when gambling. Can you do it? Yes, but it is not fun.

Garg,  I accept, but I have reservations doing it if the venerable Veqryn is opposed to it.  Also, Bold has not weighed in on this yet.  I don’t know if I feel good about dragging two teammates into the cow-pie menagerie.  Cow and I are probably better suited for a 1v1 so there are no excuses about opponents ground-beefing the whole thing up.  We can do a regular game on the forum or face off on Triple A live.

That being said, if Veqryn and Bold are game, you know I am.

Veqryn was excited to play garg if I recall correctly, but that was 3 weeks ago. I got my hopes up, I wanted to read the commentary between turns. I was expecting a crash course collission, high action game.

I am more excited to play garg. Sorry DutchmanD, my last game was long, I am USA and UK, I want to play the an aggressive player right now.

Ok I downloaded the maps or whatever it was, now what do I do ? also i’m very newbie so please be patient.

This tournament started awhile ago.

However you can find an opponent on the looking for game section.

I updated the standings, if anyone is interested.  I also went through and made sure all the fights were actually happening.  There’s only one fight that hasn’t started yet, in the loser’s bracket: Speedo Hares vs the Little Threats.  Little Boot hasn’t been on in a few weeks, so I’m not sure how he feels about all this.  Minor Threat never joined the first fight at all.

Also, congrats to the Atlanta Axis, reppin’ my former town, for being the first group to (most likely) advance to round three.  Technically, Ohmss and I haven’t lost yet, but it’s pretty much a matter of time.  I’m still holding out for a dice miracle, though!
