Refer to page #38, optional rules, us marines, attack at a 2, first combat cycle!

My purchase and exact unit allocation will depend on Russia’s move and how it went. I prefer to build only land units on G1. If I’m able to stack Karelia or Ukraine, I’ll build 2-3 tanks. No matter what, here’s what I attack in no particular order:

1. Gibraltar Battleship: sub, 3-4 fighters
2. Karelia: minimal force or full stack, depending on counterattack
3. Egypt: 2 inf, 2 tanks, maybe a fighter, bomber
4. East Med Destroyer: battleship, loaded transport, fighter

If Russia attacked Ukraine or Belorussia, I will always counterattack. An attack on Ukraine changes where I play my fighters. Attacking West Russia on G1 is a risky play that I’ll only consider if Russia had really lousy dice.

This would create some interesting bids… in games where the bid was high enough
(but with the auction bid system, I doubt there are many bids of + or - 8 or more to allow naval units)

you may find it more efficient to get 1-3 games in at the same time you would get 1 game in on a actual board.
but I wont argue with you there either. you probably are to much of a die-hard actual board fan :) which is cool. I liek the board a lot to. Glad the new one came out, I only played classic twice and didn’t really like it.

At the German site, you either need to be a member, or you have to select a low-luck dice server.  But otherwise, it is exactly like Dicey and is available for regular or revised.

The other die server site would just be annoying to track, especially in some large European fights.

May have to see about membership in DAAK (appears to be free) to use their die server…

oh, believe me, I love having ACs…I’ve been known to pull up along shore with 4-6 of them with 2 fighters each.

We even have a house rule that SS don’t exist, but you can have Super ACs which hold 3 fighters instead of 2. (you can actually fit 3 fighters on the deck too, if you’re careful!) It’s a beautiful site.

BTW, we also have a house rule that there are no chips. When you run out of pieces you can’t build anymore. smile
