Cant do that, the count starts from where carrier is and you need to move the carrier in range for plane to land. If no opportunity presents itself, you cant move there.

Air power alone cannot capture a territory, but it can eliminate all units in that territory without capturing it. At least one ground unit is needed to capture a territory.

Infantry and planes can shoot at each other without problem if they are in the same space.

Artillery can fire alone. However, it doubles the attack strength of an infantry if an infantry accompanies it. The artillery unit doesn’t represent only the equipment, it represents the equipment and the men who use it. Just as you wouldn’t need an infantry to “drive” a tank, the tank is self-contained with all the personnel needed to operate it.

Like Chinese infantry, Chinese artillery may be placed in any Chinese territory that China controls.  Restricting their placement further would be too limiting.

After a J1 attack, and if Japan take planes as casualties, they will have 3 inf and 1 art in Yunnan, and that is hard to trade when China attack with 4 inf and a fighter. So basically the best strategy is to just forgett Yunnan and walk a giant stack up north to threaten the money territories at the coast after Japan have taken India. That is if you want to win.

Sure, my opponents did in our first game: I was the Japan.

I attacked the US navy at Hawaii with my huge Imperial Navy: obviously I destroyed all while they don’t scrambled any fighter nor tactical bomber. At his turn, the US player counter-attacked my ships, destroying all them… We closed the game and immediately started a second one: there’s no fun in playing Pacific without ships! :D

Im not a huge fan of it being 6 IPC rather than just 5

China shouldnt get special treatment……even though they are treated in a special way
