Spring AA50-41 Tourney Sign-up (No Tech)

As of now, all that I can’t figure out is how to delete a piece from the board after it’s already been placed. Other than that, generally I’m available pretty much all day (except when certain specific hockey games are on), every day so posting turns shouldn’t be an issue, but should some freak thing come up, I’ll be sure to give notice. I’m excited for my debut game!
-
In the top right corner of the map it says “UNDO DEL ESC.” Click “DEL”, and then your mouse turns into a crosshair–any time you click any icon on the map it will delete one of whatever you clicked. Shift+Click will delete 5, and Ctrl+Click will delete 10 (that shift and ctrl trick also works to place that many pieces respectively). “UNDO” will undo whatever your last action was (duh!), and “ESC” turns off “DEL” or returns your mouse to a movement function if you were just using it to place units/markers.
-
Thanks a bunch :-D
-
Or if you have a middle button on your mouse (in addition to the left and right buttons) that will delete units in the same way without having to choose DEL first.

If you have the time, you probably should try a PBF game in the Play Boardgames board before the tournament gets started, so that you can work out your system for posting game moves. Below is the thread to find players.

Choosing Sides
You will be bidding for the Allies.
Full placement bids. Standard bid rules apply (can only place bid in spots where you already have units, etc.)
You will bid in IPC, but you can spend the bid on units once bidding is completed.
Bidding will be done in an Auction Style to keep everything in house.
Once brackets are assigned I (or another mod) will do a random roll for each round to see which player will start the bidding (either top player on bracket or bottom). The players will then bid down until one player concedes the sides.Example
Player 1 - I’ll play the Allies with 9
Player 2 - I’ll play the Allies with 7
Player 1 - I’ll play the Allies with 6
Player 2 - You win, you can take the Allies with 6Darth,
A question, What happens if both players want to play as the Allies for 6 IPCs and neither is willing to go below six, do you then roll for sides, or is it just whoever says, “I’ll take the Allies for 6.” first gets the Allies.Second question: If one’s opponent is willing, may one suggest before bidding, that the IPCs be a limited-placement bid? Such as, Limited to bidding for Chinese infantry units only, with any leftover 1 or 2 IPCs going to the Allied player’s choice of country?

Hello, gang! I am a new member here, but I have been watching the forum voyeuristically for a few years. :-o I want to sign up for this tourney! It will be my first one online or anywhere else. I have only played one-on-one with a friend in person for a while.
I am going to go study some over-the-forum games to get up to speed on how that works…

JWW volunteered to be an Alt.
Any late sign-ups (between now and start) will also be Alts.
Darth,
A question, What happens if both players want to play as the Allies for 6 IPCs and neither is willing to go below six, do you then roll for sides, or is it just whoever says, “I’ll take the Allies for 6.” first gets the Allies.Second question: If one’s opponent is willing, may one suggest before bidding, that the IPCs be a limited-placement bid? Such as, Limited to bidding for Chinese infantry units only, with any leftover 1 or 2 IPCs going to the Allied player’s choice of country?
#1 - There shouldn’t be any ties. I will be rolling a die to see who bids first, so that player may have a slight adv but will set the starting point, and from there you must go lower.
#2 - I’d like to try and keep the bidding uniform in a tourney atmosphere. So no unique placements/requests.
-
I’ll just do the match ups here.
The only set placements are the top 3 seeds.
