I humbly disagree, they are to scale with oob.  What’s more, they don’t have the stubby legs and big heads of a lot of other small minis, which I’m really happy about  :-D  Besides, it makes more sense to produce all the nations in the same scale…

and i need the money to support hbg and fmg….maby i should make a deal with them…free pieces for free jigles… i got this one off a slogan maker , 8 out of 10 pet owners said there cats prefer MFG combat units.  and … have you had your daily dose of FMG combat units today? im even working on a song baised off of the struglle between FMG and the factories,  as well as the in put from the forums…lol

I noticed that too.  Just a hair smaller.  But if you replace all your pieces with FMG’s, then what would it matter?

No one would ever notice, anyway.  Not an issue to me.

yeah i see hat your saying and I don’t want to sound like i’m complaining to much. Plus I love every other unit, but if you put coach’s marines next to FMGs Italians its quite a difference. i proboly will just buy a set and sell the infantry OR just buy all the other units from HGB.

Has everybody got their Italians yet? I am still waiting. Everyday I can’t wait to see if they are on the front door. I ordered 1 set and the new style money.  Just curious.

I’m still waiting for mine but I’m in th U.K. I’ll sure as hell shout when I get 'em though.

My wife is Italian and I have been to Italy several times and I can tell you first hand they are pretty short, so I think your scale is perfect.  :-D

Well, I haven’t gotten my order from FMG just yet.  Hopefully it will be shipping out sometime this week and maybe next week I will get them.  I DID get myself a sort of sample set (1 of each piece) from HBG though.  I just had to see these pieces in person and I must say they are fabulous.  Amazing detail on such a small scale.  Color is just right too, a little darker than the OOB Italian pieces but match up well to the FMG Combat Dice for Italy.  Can’t wait to get my full order.  Also anxious for FMG’s German Combat Units now more than ever.

Here are some pics for comparison of Italian pieces from the Anniversary Game, Europe 1940 and Field Marshal Games.  Of course, Anniversary didn’t have Mech Infantry or Tac Bombers so that’s why the empty spaces there.  Also, FMG has included new pieces that aren’t in the Europe 1940 game – commander, truck, transport plane – so I put those pieces at the end.  I hope these pics came out good enough for a nice comparison.

No, you won’t have to wait for the Germans to come out.  FMG is shipping ALL their orders of the Italian units as soon as they get them.  So you should also be getting your Italian units in the next couple of weeks or so. 
You are probably referring to the saving on shipping if you order Italy and Germany in the same order, right?  FMG offered that as sort of a little bonus for everyone that placed a pre-order for Germany and helped to move this project along.  So, basically, you are paying one shipping cost now which will cover the Italians when FMG gets them and ships them to you.  When Germany is finished, since you have already placed a pre-order, they will basically be shipped to you for free.

FMG Italian infantry is in the center, OOB on the left and on the right is infantry from the War Game which I painted to use for my Italian elite unit during the time I was waiting on FMG.
