• Hey everyone, sorry for yelling out my topic subject. I officially finished the rules for my world War 1 scenario yesterday round of applause (hopefully) and I need some playtesters to beta test out the scenario so I can iron out the bugs. XIXDannyXIX, bossk and Rommel34 expressed some interest in play testing the scenario and I’d love it if you guys would do it. If anyone else is interested please reply and tell me your e-mail and which instant messenging system you use and how I can add you to one of mine. AOL Instant Messenger and MSN Instant Messenger are preferred. You also need Axis & Allies: Europe and the otehr versions would be great too. You guys will definetely get a thank you on the website I’ll put up for the scenario. Thanks a lot!

  • I’m interested in doing that. It sounds like a really good idea. What are the countries? Are Germany, Austria, Turkey, Russia, Britain, France, AND The US ALL in it? If so, id dont really care what country, but Turkey, Germany or France would be cool!

    Email: IhateZarbon1@yahoo.com

    AOL: LordofStupid34

    I own AA:E

  • Well I think you would have to play more than one country due to the lack of experienced A&A:E players.

    The powers are:

    Allies:
    UK
USA (joins the war later on)
    France
    Russia

    Central:
    Germany
    Austria-Hungary
    Ottoman Empire

    Undecided:
    Italy

  • Well, it doesnt nessesarily have to be an exprenced player, concidering that it would really be a whole new game.

  • Yeah, I guess so. How about those who actually played the game then?

  • hey…maybe you should post rules hear and if people like them maybe they can help test too

  • If you’re starting the game in 1914, as I imagine you are, then maybe the US should be given the option of choosing sides too. It would be more accurate, to some degree there were many in the US who wanted to join the war on the side of the central powers.

  • Oh man, THAT would be cool. And everyone would be begging the US to be on their side! lol, thats great.

(btw, there is no sarcasm in this post, i mean that sutff)

  • But most Americans wanted to join the Allied Powers. Also, Germany’s policy of unrestricted submarine warfare and its telegram to Mexico in order to gain an alliance against the United States is what brought the Americans to the Allied Powers. I don’t think the US would have joined the Central Powers.

  • You are starting in 1914 though. History is in the making and events might turn out differantly than history dictates.

  • Trust me, as it is the Central Powers are already a powerhouse. To have the US join them would be ovrkill.

  • TG is right. The US is not that much stronger than Germany initially, and Germany will probably pass the US in it’s economic power (IPCs) by the time the US joins the war.

  • hmmm that would be good if the us can choose sides. but lets say US joins germany in WWI i think it would have some impact on WWII (if germany wins maybe there wont be a World war 2)

  • Or France was the crazy/phyco power that takes over europe? But i can see why it would cause a problem with balance of the game.

  • Look at it this way, if Germany and USA were together ALONE, their total IPC count would be over 80 IPCs. This is without factoring in the Ottoman Empire or the Austrians (giving the Central Powers an IPC count of at least 100 IPCs). You can see how unbalanced things would be.

  • And because of that, a smart Italian player would never join the Allied Powers which would cause the game to shift totally into the Central Powers’ favour. The Americans could easily devastate the Allied Powersby taking Canada, Gibraltar, Western France and even the British Isles themselves. This would knock out Britain and make France very vunerable to the Germans who could easily execute the Van Schlieffen plan and throw all their forces at Russia, who would quickly collapse.

  • Just posting an update as to how the scenario is coming along: The playtesters have given me feedback and I’m now working on ironing out a few problems. I hope to put it up and publicize it soon.

  • can you tell us how a game went?

  • yo with tanks, is there no tanks at the beginning? because the Brits invented tanks in 1916… i think. And then the other countries developed them. so do the Brits get them like turn 3 and the others get them turn 4?

  • how do you simulate the stalls of trench warfare?
