I don’t see russia surviving much these days. Most players race now.

I mean you can take russia as early as G5 if you bomb it with japan on J3 and then suicide all your japan air on J4 to kill as many russian inf as possible so germany can attack it G5.
Holding russia is tricky now. I mean especially now that the whole russian income africa thing is being exploited… axis players push for earlier takedowns of russia. so allies have to either A) fly a bunch of air in sooner B) race the pacific.

just a thought, but what do anzac and russia have in common? i don’t mind splitting them up by theater
ie: usa/china/anzac and russia/france/uk

my goal was simply not to screw anything up too badly
you don’t ask a new player to do some crazy gamble that only you and a few other players have ever tried….

I don’t think of attacking vcs / capitals as gambling… the whole point of an objective is for one player to try to defend it and the other to try to attack it.
People say I play hyper aggressive. Especially for global, nothing is worse than a global game that never ends. Someone has to do the attacking.

I played a F2F game this weekend against some new opponents.
“we got this”
Was what they kept saying, right up until a turn before the end of the game.
by the completion of my last German turn, Russia was reduced to moscow alone, with about only 20 units, and there were only 2 allied surfaces on the entire board. Facing off against considerable Italian and German Navies and air power.
“We got this” turned into “He got us”

Russia should be dead by round 8 (unless germany did sea lion). Saving russia is impossibru. Allies have to keep medit sea / africa and do strong pacific play. Russia should die, maybe fly fighters from hollywood -> japan -> mid china -> russia. That crap only works if germany doesn’t have another wave of reinforcements to add on. No one falls for that crap anymore. Russia dies, everytime (except when it gets INCREDIBRU Lucky!)

OH I see what you want me to do. You don’t want me to go KJF, you want me to go rome gambit with usa. I SEE HOW IT IS! The only thing rome gambit ever did was make germany fly air to rome and as soon as I have to start pumping in the pacific, I just wildly attack west germany or italy. FINE THEN!
