Bear in mind, the land units on the transport only act on their Turn.
German occupied London and Moscow in 5-7 turns

We did an exhaustive study of the Sealion options a few months ago, you can probably find the thread a few pages back on this site. I believe it is over 10 pages long. Anyways, we found out with this that UK can defend their island if Germany doesn’t go whole hog for it. With what you have here I believe I could easily defend London, especially with that free ftr from Normandy.
So how do you adjust your strategy if UK goes max defend on London? Bringing aircraft/troops and ships from the Med to bolster their def.
With the amount of material heading East G1 and the allies holding Normandy, I don’t see how you can bring enough to threaten a G2 invasion of Uk let alone a G3 with 11 trns.
-
I’m also not seeing Moscow so early in the game. With proper builds, Russia should be able to keep Germany out for 9-11 rounds, by blocking, swapping and retreating leaving them with upwards of 50 infantry and assorted units for the defense of Moscow. (by that I mean half a dozen tanks, quarter dozen aircraft, couple dozen artillery and 50 or more infantry, probably 60 infantry or more.)
-
The Allies won’t be holding Normandey. If Russia has 60 infantry in Moscow doesn’t that mean they are just stockpiling in Moscow? By then the game is over isn’t it?
-
I don’t see this working against a prepared opponent.
11 TTs is not enough to take London as it is, but you are buying a factory and other units for Russia G2. You need 13 TTs and even then it is risky enough. I don’t see you capturing London.
As for Russia, how is your Allied opponent screwing up Russia? It pains me, but Jenn is right in that Russia can hold for longer than 7 turns.

The game isnt even over if Moscow is in German hands. If Moscow and London maybe, but I’ve seen the allies come back and win even with India, Moscsow and Australia in enemy hands.

There is a term for that scenario - “fumble”.

I apologize, I thought u weren’t hitting Normandy as Germany because you have it listed as a German attack in G2. Not sure I understand your post then because it sounds like you are moving all mobile units towards Russia and not using them in France. If you are also hitting Normandy then I don’t understand how you are being victorious. You should be taking aircraft losses G1.

I call it a too powerful US, but then, I am used to Larry’s propensity for making America ridiculously powerful in his games. ^_^

Guys just give it a try before its you not it. Don’t forget strategic bombers in Russia and lots of mechinized units once you’ve made a dent in Russian defenses. But that’s just basics.
The strategic bombers on their major IC is crippling. They either rebuild or spread their units in places that aren’t Moscow. The great thing is that you only need a few escorts if any.
Also don’t forget I said 5-7. A good player with good purchases of course can hold out longer than that but that is just an estimation

I’d love to, problem is as Jim said (he was in on the long Sealion thread) 11 trn is not enough to capture London. Guess that’s why we are trying to get clarification. Sorry, didn’t know it was too much for ya.

LOL, good plan - essentially you want us to defeat UK and Russia by turn 7, awesome, I’m on board. Hey, I have a plan for Japan too:
- Defeat China
- Defeat the US Fleet
- Capture India
- Capture Sydney
Anyway, your German plan requires…yes REQUIRES that the allies be playwed by a poor player. Sea Lion and Barbarossa both are not layups, and you’re acting like Germany can just do everything simultaneously - it’s just not going to happen. A good Russian plan alone can stop a Barbarossa thrust before turn 7, and thats with Germany spending all money on land units, not all on Naval for two rounds.
Try your plan out, it’s fiction. I would be glad to be your opponent, I’d have an easy job mopping up and conquering Berlin.

Listen guys if you don’t like my strategy I’m sorry but don’t call me stupid or anything like that. That’s not cool. I wouldn’t do that to anyone no matter how bad their I thought their strategy was.

Who called you stupid?
I don’t understand posting a personal strategy on a site and then not taking criticism for it. Did you think everyone in the world plays the game the same way? I thought you posted the strategy to find insights into it! INSANE! Like, you’d make a better strategy by posting it to us! Sorry….
Its not pile on urmomsmom day. We’re poking holes in your strategy to show you its not finished yet and are even pointing you in the areas that need more work!

I sent planes and my navy to destroy most of UKs Atlantic navy. For france, I sent all available army and planes, that could reach. For Russia, I moved everything up to the front, that could reach. Finland was occupied. Before the end of my turn, I placed a major IC in Romania. For what its worth, I borrowed some ideas from the original poster. Italy took southern France its first turn .

No one is calling you stupid. The fact is, we all have our own strategies that we believe give us the best chance for success. They are all different in their own right, however, we refine them through experience and modify them according to failures and better possibilities. For me, I go with a G3 Sealion with 11 transports and a G1 purchase of 1 AC/1 Destroyer/1 Submarine. I think my strategy is best for the axis, but many people here feel differently and some think I am crazy, however, thats the beauty of this game…… to each their own. I have refined my strategy over many games and it is what I’m comfortable with, and for me to adopt your 1 paragraph strategy during a rare monthly game against ruthless a very challenging opponents, is just not happening. It’s not an insult, but rather a challenge to you to refine, perfect and constantly play test your strategy if you believe in it so passionately. Than come back here and tell me what to purchase every round, where to attack and with what, where to deploy and place new units. Do this for every power and for every round up to at least 4, than if it comes with your guarantee for success, I promise that I will devote one of my precious game days to your strategy.

Hey Grasshopper, when you do Sealion, is it rd 2 that you drop mostly transports? I would like an allies first option, but getting the build order right is kinda tricky.

How about you play it against me? If I tried it I might screw it up because I don’t know how you envision it exactly, only overall.
