Clarification Cruisers/Destroyers

Hey probably a dumb question but I’m just making sure. The Cruisers are the ships with one pointed end, and one box type end, and the Destroyers are the units with two pointed ends (not counting the Battleships and Subs lol) correct?

the destroyers are smaller? Except for Russian destroyers which are the size of Allied battleships. :)

Accidentally sent this in a personal message, but anyway when I got the 1942 edition, I thought that’s how it was orignally. Somebody on BGG said otherwise so I’ve been using them backwards. Thanks.
