Just take Paris, will you? I can’t stand to lose anymore (sorry if that sounded pathetic, but I do take this stuff slightly personally, even if I mean no ill will toward you, and I don’t like conceding).
Believe me, I am taking Paris as quickly as possible. The fact is, the force that is there is barely enough to do the job and can just as easily fail as succeed when I run the calc (they will be exposed to a decent French counter attack after entry). The tanks are coming up to do the job. You’ll just have to trust me when I say that this is a normal game when it comes to playing to the exact victory conditions listed in the manual. Concession is the norm and would totally be warranted at this point. But I can’t in good faith simply pull a trigger that has a chance at making the game go even longer.

I really think if its not fun we should call the game. You played tenaciously and I even reached out to my buddy Ragnell804 to talk to him about how hard you’re fighting and how hard it is to truly bury the Entente - its not like this when the CP lose.
Its nobody’s fault the game designers decided to make the victory conditions so odd. I am up to 52 games completed of 1914, and yours are the only that are not played to concession. You should not feel humiliated and I’d hate to think that’s whats happening here (I’m incredibly impressed actually). I’d just hate to think that playing this way while you’re not having fun will make you hate the game.

It’s not just this game, I play almost all my games to victory conditions.
I still enjoy these games, even if the end is sometimes quite exhausting. It’s just a somewhat irrational desire to play to the very end.
I guess I got a little over the top with “humiliated”. It’s just sad to see my guys get defeated. Sort of how I guess those generals back in the day felt when they were losing.
I would like to still play.
I think you’re right that it’s much harder to defeat the Allies. I saw that when Tamer of Beasts beat you as the Allies he only did it in 10 turns. A number that shocked me when our games go past 12 turns, and in this case, 20.

Yeah, in Tamers game, I extended a concession on turn 5 because things were going so badly everywhere. However, I wanted to play out a few more turns just to be sure and Tamer obliged.
