@DannyDuck716 I got this message at the start of Germany’s turn that I won, but I’m not so sure that’s the case. The rules say I need to hold the 8 victory cities for a full round, and since I achieved it on Italy’s turn, the way I read the rules I need to hold up until Italy’s turn. You didn’t really set up to take back Egypt so I don’t think it makes a difference, but if you want to try you’re welcome to. Japan has 0 actions.
-
@tanios Yea, I guess you’re right. Again with the not paying attention. I’m always in a total war mentality. Oh well. Good game. In reality, I doubt the allies in their position would give up. Japan has been rendered completely useless and it would only be a matter of time before Russia is liberated and the Axis are fighting on 4 or 5 fronts and collapsing.
-
@tanios Really, I think the loss boiled down to one move. Russia moving some forces out of the capital to make a hopeless move to Leningrad. That caused the capital to fall and it was downhill from there.
-
@DannyDuck716 Yeah, good game. That was was fun/different than usual. If the victory conditions were total war you probably would’ve won, but also I would’ve done things differently leading up to this point in the game. I didn’t think I had a serious chance at London, but I didn’t really have anything better to do with the Germans so I decided to set up for one to prevent you from dumping everything into the middle east.

@tanios I’ll post the game. Thanks for the game. We will have to do it again in 2021.

True. Trying to save Leningrad almost always seems like a mistake.
