Sorry for the delay, all done now.
What can be done to stop 3rd Turn India fall?
-
I know the community runs lots of strategies for the game but eventually players are going to find the best moves to force an opponent to move or purchase what “you want” rather then what they need. I know 1940 global has more then one opening like chess but the 1942 online version since has been played long before global it has its limitations so I ask the community… What is your best moves that will stop Japan from taking India on Turn 3?

I can only really give a high-level overview, as every game is going to be different, but:
-
B1: Buy 3 INF for India, in addition to whatever other buys you do. Pull the guy from Burma back to India + use the Transport you start with to ferry any survivors from Egypt over to India. Basically, you’re trying to consolidate your starting forces in the Middle East/Africa into India. You may also want to try putting the guys from Australia onto a Transport and have them attempt to come to India as well. Move the FTRs/BOMBs you start with in UK to West Russia, attacking the German Baltic fleet along the way (assuming Germany didn’t build any additional navy).
-
B2: Buy 3 units for India (what units you buy depends on how much you’re splitting your income between India and Europe). Move the FTRs/BOMBs from West Russia to India if you think Japan is going to attack this turn, otherwise keep them in either West Russia, Caucasus or Moscow (depending on what Germany/USSR are doing).
-
B3: Buy 3 units for India (again, what units you buy depends on the situation). Move anything that can reach to India and prepare yourself.
Basically, as long as you’re buying 3 units per turn in India, and not squandering your resources by attacking Burma/trying to reinforce China/etc., you’re doing the best you can.
If possible, you may also want to move some Russian or American FTRs to India to help as well, but this depends on how the war against Germany is going, so I can’t always recommend it.
One trick that’s somewhat helpful is what to do when faced with a large Japanese air stack and a smaller Japanese land stack. In this case, assuming you can defeat the land stack (but not the land + air stack), retreat from India for a turn and let Japan walk in with their land stack. Then, on the following UK turn, move everything back into India and wipe out their land stack without needing to worry about the air stack (because air units can’t land in a territory that was just conquered that turn). With this, Japan will be out of a land stack and unable to actually build in India. It will also take them another 1-2 turns to get a new land stack in-range to threaten you, giving you more time to prepare. You should only do something like this as a last resort, as it makes you unable to build units in India for a turn.
Hope this helps.

If you coordinate your defence of Russia really well with allied air support, USSR can afford a couple tanks and fighters built in Caucasus to retake india for UK. This means UK doesn’t miss a turn to build by the time it rolls around to the UK turn again. Good luck!
