How to win Ranked Games

It has to do with timing. Watch when you opponent does their moves via the notification emails. Then predict some times that would be super inconvenient for them to do their turn. You know you’re getting close when they get their turn in just under the time limit.
Other tips:
- Start a game before a holiday
- Start a game at the beginning of the week, when you get to the weekend, there’s a good chance that they’ll miss their turn
You see, you can use the 24 hours time limit to your advantage. Bad dice? Bad strategy? It doesn’t matter, all you need is good timing and you’ll win all your games.
As it stands, Ranke Play isn’t about the best player, it’s about the player with the most flexible schedule, never forgets, and/or is always near a computer, always.

That’s a pretty crappy strategy. Just because it’s legal doesn’t make it right.

@rem400 I know. I’m trolling a bit here. But I’ll also keep doing it until it’s fixed.
I’d rather win a game outright but right now I’m 5-1. I won all those matches with expired time, and I lost my 1 match with expired time.

Conversely to your example, I haven’t had any wins/losses by timeout yet. Anecdotal evidence is just anecdotal at the end of the day.

I thought it was just the games on the first day but then it kept happening. So based on the anecdotes I’m creating a hypothesis, thus I’m curious about the actual numbers. What percentage of games are won by timeout?

Side-Bar: Could I also request that saved games of your completed matches be stored on the user’s computer or something? Even if it’s just the War Diary in a text dump? I lost a game recently and I’m still scratching my head as to how USA took 3 VCs in one turn. It’d a be a great learning tool for sure.
Probably super low priority since I doubt the Average Joe would care about something like this. But just something to think about.
