Japanese A&A Pacific 2nd Edition Color Match
Hey All.
If you are looking to match the default color for the Japanese, try Vallejo Liquid Acrylic 804 Transparent Orange and Model color 140 Flat Brown mixed 30 to 1 sprayed on an undercoat of 131 Orange Brown. It’s a dead match.

Nice! I like those aircraft stands, too. You could play “Check Your 6!” with those stands.

I agree. Makes for a nice visual : )
Can we get a “Combat Air Patrol” over the Fleet shot ? :)

@barnee I have 24 different painted aces, 3 from each country. After reviewing photos of fighters I noticed some had individual paint patterns, so I looked up the aces and tried to match them. They are no where near the quality of DMcLarens work. I will send a few more pictures, hope you enjoy.

@sansmerci Here is the new 3G40 map with some of the Japanese fleet. Hope to use Axis & Allies war at sea minis in the game.

These are great! If you want to get squadron letters and numbers for your aircraft, the white letter and number sheet from I-94 has the perfect size. Great looking aircraft, and carriers too! Where did you get the carriers? Did you do the decks on them?
-
@DMcLaren Thanks, I have been getting the decals from Historical Board Games will check out I-94. The ships are from my War at Sea collection looked like that out of the box. Got the big 3G40 map will see how it plays with those big units.
-
@sansmerci War at Sea collection? I’ll have to check those out- they’d be great for tabletop Victory at Sea on a hex map, too. The letters and number decal sheets at HBG are the I-94 decals, so if you got those, you’re all set! I’d advise getting a few sets of each color- you can get creative in the use of sections of letters for colored stripes and such. And that map is a thing of beauty- where did that come from?
-
@DMcLaren First check out Axis & Allies Miniatures, War at Sea in Forums section of Axis & Allies.org you can also go to Axis & Allies Forumini to see lots of customized ships. I have some red numbers but have not used them yet. Bought a 20/0 brush and Micron Pens at Michaels they where out of the others. The map I had printed in Hong Kong from files provided by Young Grasshopper its 73" X 33". Here are some of the new units needed for 3G40 and the map set up for round one .
-
@sansmerci I got the map from X-raypad they got the file from Young Grasshoppers posts then sent me a picture of the file. They printed it and sent me a video of it, shipped it and I got it in 8 or 9 days from ordering it to receiving it.

LOVE those biplanes!!! They look awesome! The game in progress shots give a great view of both the map and the pieces. I don’t know what you paid for that map, but it was worth every penny! Is that a GHQ transport I see in P-50?
-
@DMcLaren Thank you. The biplanes are from HBG and the transport is from my Axis & Allies War at Sea collection. All the large ships are from War at Sea.
