If Japan makes a declaration of war against the Brits and the Anzac, then the US is able to declare war against the Axis. In your previous game your opponent must not have declared war against any of the allies. In that case the US cannot declare war until the end of his third turn.

Hehe, ya, sorry about that. There’s actually a good bit of evidence to suggest that the US would not have gone to war if just the Brits were attacked. In G40 though, if Japan declares against anyone, but, Russia or France, America is free to go to war.
