Are things faster or not?
A good benchmark for me has been the “more stats” page which now seems to come up in no time.

Because of the problems I am having with my system I am not a good overall judge.
Most threads do seem faster even to me though, but GD is still problematic for me to access.

today has been great!
sometimes however, i find myself waiting for the dotted green bar to fill up……and waiting some more. hopefully thats a thing of the past. Hooray!

For me the site is moving slower. sometimes when i try to post a topic the computer just frezzes. IT has been really fast today but I never had the frezzing problems untill like a couple of weeks ago. but maybe its just my computer. thanks for keeping the website running smoothly though.

Well, the graph below explains it all. This is a cpu load graph. See where it flatlines? That is after the changes I made. Granted performance is not always going to be perfect but on average it will be good as opposed to previously when on average it was bad.

Yes, it has been leagues better since 10/14. No more bogging down or outright freezing up. Fine job! +1 Karma to the resident site diety.

Seems a few of the threads take FOREVER to load in the General Discussion area all of a sudden.
My C++ Thread to be exact. (Only general discussion i tried other then this thread just now!)

I have been having that problem for quite some time.
Admittedly I am having problems with my PC, but I can access most topics, but GD is a serious problem for access for me.

I can’t access GD on my wife’s system either (which is not having the connection problems my PC is having).

I can, but some threads take a good five minutes to load, other are instantaneous. Just started yesterday as far as I can remember.

I can’t even bring up the GD forum page on either of my PC’s this evening.

And now it is working almost normal and I can access those GD threads…

Yeah same here GD was screwy the other day. I guess it’s always screwy because of that ad that pops up in the middle -_-!
