@Slip-Capone We played two games of Guadalcanal. Which is super fun and underrated. Introduced Axis & Allies 1941 to a group of first timers. And started a game of Battle of the Bulge but had to pack it up before it was finished.

There are special rules that keep the game flowing, looks like a 6 hour limit per game. G42 is 7h 45m which, almost all games run 7 turns…so would think 6-7 turns for WW1?

Won in 2018. Smorey records the bids and victors…but maybe not for WW1? Its not a particularly large tournament, maybe 4 boards in round 1 with 8 teams would be a large turnout? And exact events may be reshuffled in 2019 since AAZ and Masters have been added.

Easter Gaming Session 2019
April (18 – 19)

We will be hosting our 6th annual Easter Gaming Session.
The format is Axis and Allies Global 1940 with Balance Mod 3 Version ruleset.

The location for the event is Celina, Ohio. Please post or PM if you would like to attend. The game will begin early morning on Thursday the 18th and we play until the game is finished. We take breaks and stop for the evening then resume on Friday the 19th. Don’t worry if your unfamiliar with the ruleset. Its very easy to adapt to and you can play test prior to the event on TripleA. Please feel free to post questions if you need clarification.

      Anyone interested can reply here or message me. We are having a 1 day Global 40 tournament by teams. The plan is for a team anywhere from 2 to 5 guys plays 2 games simultaneously and at the end we count total points scored. There is a set bid of 33 for allies. It is based on scoring points not victory on one side. However you do get extra points if you win on a side. We also have open gaming usually the Anniversary or Revised second edition. This is for fun. I seem to have lost some contact numbers so if previous players read this please reply.
    So far we have about 14 to 15 people coming as we had 4 recent cancels. So we have space as not all do the tournament.
          We play at a Church in Whitestone Queens, NY. Doors open about 940, we hope to start play before 1030am and play until we finish. We are planning to keep the global games moving and play 9 rounds by 7pm or so. We order lunch in. We serve soda, snacks and ask for 10 dollars for the church. We have a guy who sells games

On one occasion, though, 5 bombers did get to attack a G tank and 2 bombers. Marvellous! Until G threw the dice and killed 3 US bombers with 3 dice!

I am bummed I couldn’t make it this year. I have recently finally figured out how big the A&A community is in the Puget Sound Region. I will definitely be watching for these events more closely so I don’t see them so last minute

I had no idea there was this kind of a group in the Puget Sound Region. This is an awesome find. Not sure I can attend that event but I would definitely be interested in other meetups

AA in ATX Tournament! The Board Game Bash (www boardgamebash com / schedule) features 51 non-stop hours of gaming in Austin Texas, 8/17-8/19/18.  We have obtained space for an AA tournament on Saturday, August 18, 2018, from 0900-2100 in the Bluebonnet Room (Austin Marriott South), featuring orginal 1942 game with standard single-elimination tournament rules.
