Some time back I did the sister ship of this one…the Royal Oak. Funny, but the plans for this one varied slightly in terms of bow width, etc. This one, IMO, is an improvement, and shows me how practice makes us better at what we do. It’s not my best work, but better than my first go-around w/ this class of battleship.

I didn’t see any pics w/ a plane so I didn’t put one in this time around. Pretty basic.

A little trivia: She is known for…oh what the hell, read for yourselves, and I quote Wiki "During one stop in Halifax on 12 May 1940, she accidentally rammed and sank the Canadian Battle-class trawler HMCS Ypres although without loss of life. For the duration of the war that she served, whenever Revenge came to Halifax, the crews of other gate ships would make elaborate and exaggerated “Abandon Ship” manoeuvres in mockery of the old vessel. " Funny bit o’ history.

Shortly after I decided to do this one, I came across a schematic on the web which showed newly discovered colors for her…nice timing.  (source: http://archives.starbulletin.com/2006/12/07/news/story04.html)

I can basically name all those ships by looking at them. Janes fighting ships was my bible when i was a kid.

If by tourney para bomb you mean too many paratroopers to shoot at.  then the answer to this is NO.  this 150 point build isn’t the way to go.  I tried this and my buddy brought out 8 paratroopers and 2 captains.  that alone caused way too much chaos, not to mention the shermans.  i haven’t tried it against an all out sherman swarm.  but again i would say NO.  shermans are so powerful especially in hordes.  ( but that def of the KT is awe strucking)

A special ability does trump normal rules… but usually states as much on the stat card.  For instance, “Close Assault”  It ignores cover.

Angriff doesn’t state “this movement ignores defensive fire.”

I’d pick the axis with no hesitation.  The allied lack of infantry will be their doom!

In the assault phase of turn 8, the allied will likely lose their IS-2, T-34/76 AND sherman leaving nothing but a T-34-85 that won’t be able to enter the objective hex in the 8th turn because of the T34-76.  If the allied player is able to kill the Oberleutnant in the objective hex, there is still another one and 2 SS-panzergrenadier.

      So, therefore, AXIS WINS!
