RE: Close Assault
Yes sticky bombs
Using the M1 garand as an example, they’ll simply climb on the tank and take out the crew by handgrenade. Plug up the cannon. Shoot into the hatch.

RE: Close Assault
In reality there was two ways to destoy a tank, by another tank or artilery from a distance or soldiers up close. Medium range attack on a tank is usless from infranty unless it’s a bazooka, pnzrfst etc.
Infranty in the same hex as your tank was dangerous, however in WWII they often countered this by providing close infrantry support to tanks. Thus if you have an allied infantry in your own tank’s hex, the enemy infrantry needs to pass defensive fire to enter to attack.

RE: Different sizes of minis?
Most cards that come with the units for both versions (1 & 2) have been revised. Print the revised cards and everthing is playable together.
A good amount of units from version 1 have been re-released in version 2. There was no scale for vehicles in V1, some units are almost the same as V2, some are wayyyyyy smaller.
V2 has bigger hexes to hold the larger size vehicles but both version’s maps work.
There are several different rules, I suggest to print the new ones, they are alot different.

RE: Want to try Minis but not sure where to start.
Here’s a good idea, buy a starter set so you can get maps and counters. Download and print the revised cards (most of the cards that come with the minis have been revised). Print the current rules and give it a shot without using any actual units. Gameplay is 1 hour time limit… at least you’ll get a couple of games played in one night.

RE: Jan 27th Stacking Rules Examination, Explanation and FAQ
Counter needs to be placed on the unit that caused the overstacking… makes this easier.

Jan 27th Stacking Rules Examination, Explanation and FAQ
I finally got a chance to read though these new stacking rules and updates. Some questions and comments.
Vehicle facing: Same old question? A vehicle attacking an overstacked enemy vehicle in the same hex (and counter attack); is this a rear armor attack?
Vehicle facing (turretless tank): Can this vehicle attack a tank in the same hex?
Q13) (my undering) Defensive fire: If a vehicle disrupts an ememy vehicle with defensive fire while the enemy vehicle is moving through the same hex, the enemy vehicle remains disrupted in the vehicles hex that made the defensive fire. My problems/questions: Must it attack in the same hex (it appears it does from the example)? This does not comply the current rules. Current rules state that you can make a defensive fire attack against the enemy unit in either the hex it started in or the hex it is moving into. Second question is again vehicle facing; if it must or does occur in the same hex, is it a rear armor attack? Third question is if cover still effects this defensive fire?
We now need an overstacked counter!

RE: German Goliath Bombs?
I don’t feel this SA attack can be used for DF fire although I feel that most do.
