@Valladares I like your idea/rule for bombing canals too. From your images, are you treating Straits like canals? Straits shouldn’t be able to be bombed (open relatively narrow waterways)…maybe mined though.

Like many others, I hate OOB amphibious landings. I’d tweak your idea by making the attacker establish a beachhead (at least 1 defender casualty post any bombardment) before the artillery can attack and before tanks regain normal combat power. If the attacker misses on all his rolls in the first round, why should the attacker benefit in the 2nd round with increased firepower when none of the defenders were taken as casualties? How did the defender lose ground to setup artillery, etc.?

Hi all,

I’m working on a modified G40 map for 1942 (I prefer all players to be at war at the start of the game), and I was thinking about adding oil icons on the map as I’ve seen on other custom maps. My limited googling indicates the Celebes didn’t/doesn’t produce oil…I always assumed it did. Does anyone have different information about Celebes oil production he can point me to? Otherwise, I’m not putting an oil icon there.
