Paratroopers used to reinforce Africa for Germany

Yard sale.  eBay attempted to plunder my bank account when someone claimed they didnt get a package I shipped, even though I had the tracking information proving it arrived at his registered address.  Luckily, I had closed the account, so now I have the cash, but can’t use ebay or paypal.

Germany will have no ships after UK 1, so worrying about UK or US is futile.

You must claim what you can in Afr early on (rds 1-3), without sacrificing too much from Europe, so you can keep constant pressure on Russia early.

I try to always play with them as well - it’s a good rule. I believe it was an official optional rule with 3.0 first… not sure.

True giving the Allies even more time to build up their forces.

This friend of mine that I play against always builds 3 transports and 3 tanks per round with the US and keeps sending that force to Algeria. He loses tanks along the way, less later in the game, sending them to Persia. This totally keeps Germany out of Africa, and stops Japan in Asia later as well.

Hmm, sounds like ya’ll play with some serious contenders. I don’t know even what RR stands for but i do know this. I like the challenge of playing the axis against all odds. Sure the game is slanted against you, but damnit… I’m gonna try my best to wipe the allies off the board.

Likely the guys I’ve played against just suck, but as germany I’ve kept the seas clear of allied ships for 3 rounds or so and always have moscow by turn 2 or 3, it is usually a bit gamble but it works. As japan, I’ve been notorious for assaulting the US navy and invading alaska with 4+ troops on turn 3 while still having secure boarders in china.

Spread thin? Yup, Gotten beat, you bet… But I’ve won nearly 60-70% of the games and always made 'em sweat. So I say bring it…screw the bidding and the RR…Damn the torpedoes and stuff. If I wanted a fair game I’d play Candy Land with my 2yr old.

Your strategy is pretty decent–the Airstrike on the Allied Fleet T1 (turn 1) is a classic move, and trying to roll over USSR with INF and ARM is also pretty classic. A word of warning about AA guns–check out their stats–an AA gun may be captured and gets only 1 attack (at 1) vs. any Aircraft in the attack–one time! Your AA gun in Finland Norway is as good as dead and will be captured by the Allies for later use against YOU! Also your buddies may be deceiving you–Western Europe BEGINS THE GAME with 1 AA gun–don’t build it if its already there: you can’t use 2 at 1 time.

Naval combat in A&A is very different from land combat–your Japan player needs to learn to protect his/her transports better to have more of an impact. An Industrial complex on the mainland can help a little, but TRs are still your best bet for moving a lot of land units (especially INF) quickly. As in WWII, if Japan’s industries are cut off from the war front by the destruction of her fleet, she is as good as dead.

Best advice to win: learn to play as your enemies. Get a feel for their strengths and weaknesses so you can predict what they’ll do against you. Then take measures to prevent them from doing so when you’re back in the seat w/ your favorite country.
