Germany will have no ships after UK 1, so worrying about UK or US is futile.
You must claim what you can in Afr early on (rds 1-3), without sacrificing too much from Europe, so you can keep constant pressure on Russia early.
What does everyone think about this strategy? I have used it sucessfully against the computer, but have not tried it against real players yet.
Basically the idea is to use the German bomber to supply one inf. to africa from WE each turn. The advantage here is that the bomber cannot be sunk like a transport. Since the allies usually do not enter Africa for several turns, you have added several inf. to the continent before they are ready.
It is also the same price as an IC, has more flexibility than an IC (but cannot reach SA), and can assist on attack if necessary. It can only supply one inf (but African IC only supply two anyway.
not bad, but an easy way for allies to kill german infantry easily.
also if i’m allies, i have people in Africa by US1, or at the latest UK2/US2.
most people dont use paratroopers, believe me i tried. but if ya do use paratroopers itll take a couple of turns to do any difference.

if your invading the UK paratroopers can be very handy
Have you ever been there, SUD? I thin kthe paratrooper rule would be nice if it could reach Brazil. That would really scare the Allies.
Paratroopers are pretty funny to play with. I saw, in the first few turns, Russia, UK, the US and Germany all Captured :) Remember that Mike?
and i missed it:o rats
I always play with them… makes the Allies, especially Russia, defend and at LEAST leave 1 infantry in all territories. It also helps Britain funnel troops into Russia…
funnal troops into india, good idea
so what is the actual rules for paratroopers im unfamiliar for I use 2nd edition. :x
its a house rule
