• Excuse me! The “a” word is not, nor has it ever been, in my lexicon. :)
You again seem to accuse me of plagiarism. Let us look at my words …

S/he argues with a third hand post … not with a sentient being.
Maybe from Star Trek? I don’t think Plato need worry.

F_alk reposts 40% of the original post.
Fact. It doesn’t really add to F’s debate (20% would’ve done fine.)

S/he uses shotgun question tactics to assault the writer’s personal experience.
To what purpose? Again I note: The author is not present.
The phrase “shotgun question tactics” may be from my intense study of Night Court reruns. Thomas Jefferson’s writings are inviolate. 8)

F’s question regarding visiting other countries shows that the article was not read thoroughly!
As the writer mentioned a trip to Guatemala (wasn’t sure of the spelling so I double checked. This public school education finally paid off. )

His/her comment about “mental problems” indicates a highly emotional or unstable mind at the time it was posted!
The “u” word has been dealt with, but why the need to attack a motivated high school student en absentia, rather than gently persuade him? Or is that the norm here? Your Honor, I retract that last question.

F_alk’s use of the “n” word seems out of place. Almost as if expressing a desire to inflame and degenerate the argument (F’s alone).
Sorry! Now that I look at this comment, it reminds me of my Non-Western Civilization Literature teacher’s rejection of arguments. If you know the source, please, enlighten moi! Mind you, I still believe the “n” word was out of place … or did F_alk get the rise out of me which s/he had hoped to get from others? I don’t think so.

And in conclusion, s/he insults the absent writer with an aetheistic/agnostic barb directed at said writer’s belief system! This is rude and lends no credence to the reponse.
My apologies to Augustine … maybe!
I love conclusions …especially when they are in the right place (unlike F_'s.) It was an attack outside the main argument.
    –----------------------------------------------------------------------
I maintain that F_alk came to argue … not to persuade.
I do love classic court drama movies so I threw this in. 8)

Would it have matter? Usually I would’ve just quoted the whole post (though more section by section as I did earlier). Just be lucky F_alk took the time to snip it for you… :-?

S/he argues with a third hand post … not with a sentient being.

Quote me if I’m wrong, but isn’t this a bad thing? :-?

    Examples of such shotguning?

F’s question regarding visiting other countries shows that the article was not read thoroughly!
As the writer mentioned a trip to Guatemala (wasn’t sure of the spelling so I double checked. This public school education finally paid off. )

    Yeah, I was disappointed in that… :-?

  • call me stupid, but i missed our Guest’s plagerism. Maybe i’m not the renaissance man i wish to be . . . .

  • @F_alk:

    @Anonymous:

i bow to the unbeatable conservative mindset and brilliance.

At least i quoted only 40% of someone elses post (and not 80% of my own)….
Man, if you claim Plato et al. at your side, then you should also know that posting/quoting something without further comment means that you support this view 100%.

For germans and Nazis: As long as you stay historically correct and use comparisons with Nazis in context… noone will object.
And just for the records: The easiest way to get USies go spastic is to post “The US of A are not the best country in the world”… Or say something aimed at the commie-phobia, always works…

there are a few others, but that’s a good start :)
for Canadians - don’t diss our beer or our hockey. Just about everything we’ll diss ourselves anyway (or we already have)

  • Hahahaha  Don’t worry American beer sucks so you won’t hear any attacks from us. :)

  • cc, I think he was having fun saying his writings are not up to Plato/Jefferson/Augustine’s standards.

You’ve drifted way off topic, dudes and dudettes!

And now San Francisco has an Environmental Civil War!

The US Marine(?) Base there wants to return the base to its natural state… sand dunes(as in desert.) The natural environmentalists and pro-sand dunementalists agree. However, the tree huggers and pro-high property valuesmentalists disagree.

    HAHAAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAHA!

    A house divided!

Now, you may return off topic

Where the he did the following entries come from?**

  • Kind of off-topic, but IMO, we should reward Spain for their support of the US position vis-a-vis Iraq by giving them back Florida. Let them f**k up Spain’s electoral process for a change…

  • Dug this out of the dusty files. :D

I’d say TG Moses VI got it wrong last October, seeing as now California is 38 million $s in the red…

Now CA Gov. Davis is raising taxes with a projected shortfall of
    $38 million

Anybody know how much the dockworkers strike cost the state of California? Estimates?
